A lot of people have a very deep emotional attachment to their vehicles. As a result of this, they are unable to part ways with their cars despite them being extremely old. Earlier, people had no choice but to get rid of their cars if they were not well maintained. However, today people are now converting old vehicles into brand new ones by giving them major facelifts. Recently, a video of one such 17-year-old 2007 Mahindra Scorpio’s conversion into an all-new Scorpio S11 has been shared online.

This old Scorpio’s conversion into a new one has been shared on YouTube by Filmshoppee on their channel. In this video, the owner of the shop highlights that they have been tasked by the owner of this Scorpio to convert it from a 2007 model to the current S11 model. For this, they have already ordered all the genuine Mahindra body parts.

He explains that they have bought an all-new front bonnet, fenders, tie member, front bumper, rear bumper, and other essential body parts. Following this, he then states that now the vehicle will be going through the bodywork process to make sure that all the panels are completely dent-free so that they can look brand new.

After the introduction, the video shows the technicians of the shop fitting all the new body panels, including the bonnet and other structural components of the vehicle. They then start to align them so that all the fitments can be flush and do not look odd. The owner of the shop then mentions that as the vehicle is very old, it had been repaired multiple times.

As a result, the doors and other original body panels have a lot of dents, which have been filled with body filler and putty. To tackle this issue, they will be completely stripping off the paint so that they can reach the bare metal and then do the denting work properly. Soon after this, the video shows the technicians using a dent puller and fixing all the minor and major dents across the body of this vehicle.

Following this, the vehicle was then again given a glazing putty, which was then sanded down smoothly. Finally, after the complete bodywork was done, the vehicle was sprayed with primer. Once the primer was dry, the vehicle was painted in Mahindra’s Napoli Black paint color. It was also given a few coats of clear to bring out the gloss.

After the paint job was completed, the owner of the shop mentions that they have sourced new captain’s seats for the front and middle row, and they have bolted them to the chassis. The video then shows the technicians completely reassembling the car. As part of this, they add the new dashboard with a new Android touchscreen infotainment system and a new gauge cluster from the Scorpio Classic S11.

The owner of the shop highlights that it was very difficult for them to get all the wiring of this vehicle done properly so that all the new electrical components work as intended. The video then shows that they also wrapped the seats in dark brown color, which looks similar to the Mocha Brown interior of the new Scorpio-N. On the outside, this vehicle has also been given a set of aftermarket alloy wheels and new roof rails as well.
