18-Year Old Mahindra Scorpio Transformed Into Latest-Gen Scorpio Classic
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic S11 is still currently on sale despite the Scorpio-N being the newer launch. This is because a lot of people still admire it. Now, there are a lot of people who own Scorpios from the mid-2000s, and they are still running strong. Due to this, such owners are now getting their old Scorpios converted into brand-new Classic S11s. Recently, a video of an 18-year-old Scorpio getting this conversion has been shared online.
This particular conversion of the old Scorpio to a brand-new Classic S11 has been shared on YouTube by Autorounders. For those who may not know, Autorounders is a professional body and interior modification shop that performs such conversions on popular Indian cars. In this video, the owner of the shop mentions that this particular Scorpio is a 2007 model and has come to their shop for exterior as well as interior modifications.
Old to New Scorpio Classic S11 Conversion Process
Following the introduction, the owner of the shop explains that they have changed almost all of the body parts of this vehicle except for the four doors. In the video, it can be noted that the entire front end of the SUV, including the front grille, bonnet, fenders, headlights, and other smaller parts, has been replaced.
Soon after, all the new parts of the Scorpio Classic S11 were fitted on the vehicle to make sure that the fitment was perfect. Following this, the owner highlights that they have also replaced the side mouldings of the doors as well.
The video then shows the SUV going into the paint booth for a completely new paint job. This time around, the SUV has been painted in gloss black. It was first sprayed with a few coats of base black color, and then a few coats of clear were added. Due to this, the vehicle received a very deep glossy appearance.
Moving on, the owner then starts showing the final exterior changes. He highlights that they have added all-new projector headlights, new fog lights, and also new LED DRLs like the current Classic S11. As for the rear, the entire tailgate has been changed, and the rear windshield of the SUV has also been replaced. It now gets a wiper and washer setup as well.
Interior Modifications
After showing the complete exterior upgrade of this SUV, the owner of the shop then mentions all the changes done to the interior of this particular Scorpio. He starts by mentioning that they have completely reupholstered the interior with leather. They have taken inspiration from the XUV700 and have used an ice grey and black dual-tone scheme.
The top portion of the dashboard has been painted black, and the lower portion is finished in ice grey. He then shows the upholstery of the seats, which uses the same color scheme. The owner mentions that the complete interior job has been done in their shop, and they have added new foam to the seats to make them more comfortable.
In addition to these, he shows that the middle row, which used to be a bench setup, has been given two captain’s chairs. Meanwhile, the rear jump seats have been replaced with a bench seat. Also, the front door pads have been changed as well, and they now house the power window switches.
