Toyota Kirloskar Motor recently launched the all-new Urban Cruiser Taisor in India. This unique crossover SUV is based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Recently, two of its most affordable variants were compared with each other. This particular video shows all of the differences between the base E and second base S variant of the Toyota Taisor. This video of the Toyota Taisor’s base E variant and S variant being compared has been shared on YouTube. It comes courtesy of The Car Show. It begins with the vlogger stating the Toyota Taisor starts at Rs 7.74 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.04 lakh. Following this, he adds the Taisor is offered in 5 variants, namely – E, S, S+, G, and V.

Price difference between Taisor E and S variants

Following the introduction, the vlogger mentions that the base E variant comes with a price tag of Rs 7.74 lakh. On the other hand, the S variant is priced at Rs 8.60 lakh. In total, this is a price difference of Rs 86,000 between the two base variants. He adds that the on-road price difference between the two is Rs 95,000.

Exterior Differences

After talking about the pricing, the vlogger then starts showing the differences between the two variants. He starts at the front of the two Taisors and mentions that they both look exactly the same. Both variants come with halogen projector headlights, halogen DRLs, and turn indicators.

Both also come with silver skid plates and matte black grilles. Next up, he moves to the side profile of the cars. He states that the major difference between the two is that the more expensive S variant comes with body-colored door handles and ORVMs.

On the other hand, the Urban Cruiser Taisor E variant comes finished in matte black. Another difference he highlights is that the E variant comes with indicators on fenders, while the S variant comes with indicators integrated into the ORVMs, which are electric. Apart from these, both cars get the same 16-inch black steel wheels which come equipped with wheel covers.

The vlogger then moves to the rear end and states that both get the exact same design. There is no difference between the two. Both variants come with LED taillights and indicators. They also get four rear parking sensors and silver skid plates. The only difference between them is the badge which marks their variants.

Interior differences

Following this, the vlogger then first shows the interior of the E variant of the Taisor. He states that this variant does not come equipped with any infotainment screen. It also does not get any steering-mounted controls or any electric ORVM controls. It also misses out on a front reading lamp.

Next up, he moves to the interior of the S variant of the Taisor. This particular variant comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets steering-mounted controls, electric ORVM controls, and a reading lamp at the front. Both cars get the same fabric upholstery and automatic climate control system.

Powertrain

Both of these variants come equipped with the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This motor generates a maximum power of 89 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.
