Living With A 22 Year-Old Tata Indica In 2025: Owner Explains [Video]

Most people today want to buy a brand-new car or maybe a used car from a few years ago. However, there are some people who love owning very old cars due to the nostalgia that they have with them. Recently, one such owner of a 22-year Tata Indica has shared the updates on his hatchback which he owns. He mentions all the things which are still holding up and the cost of the recent service done by him.
The video in which the owner of this 22-year-old Tata Indica gives a detailed walkaround of his hatchback has been shared on YouTube by Weekend Automotive on their channel. For those who may not be aware, the man in the video bought this particular Indica two years ago. He bought it because it was his family's first car, which was sold back in 2013.

In this video, the owner starts by showing the side profile of this particular Indica. He mentions that the black wrap on the B-pillar, which was done two years ago, is now peeling off on both sides. He then adds that the right-hand side door black plastic handles are still intact. However, the ones on the left side have faded as they might not be the original ones.
Following this, he talks about the alloy wheels, which the owner highlights are in excellent condition and need no refurbishment. After this, he mentions that the vehicle was painted two years ago and it still retains a lot of its gloss. Next up, he shows the headlights of this vehicle.

He explains that as the vehicle was parked half in the sun and half in the shade for a long time, its right headlight has yellowed, but its left headlight is intact. He added that there is no point buffing the right headlight as the yellowing is from inside the lens. Next up, he talks about the ORVMs and mentions that these are not original ORVMs; hence, they have a rough fit and finish.
Moving on, the vlogger then tells the story about the front logo. He mentions that the vehicle was sent to a workshop where the front emblem fell, and he had to search a lot to find a replacement emblem. So now he uses cello tape to make sure that the logo does not fall from the front of the vehicle. After this, he moves to the interior of his Indica and talks about how his interior has held up.

He highlights that a few trims were painted, and the paint has now started cracking a bit. He adds that the center console was broken, which was replaced. As for the seats, he mentions that the fabric seats have no issues and will last a long time. Following this, he again comes to the exterior of the car and talks about the tyres, which he states are very uncomfortable and will be changed soon.

Before talking about the recent service cost of this Tata Indica, the owner highlights that the suspension of the car is in amazing condition as he drives very gently. As for the steering rack, he adds that it will be replaced soon and will cost around Rs 7,000–8,000.
Finally, he talks about the most recent service cost. He mentions that he paid Rs 5,200. He elaborates that the most expensive thing was the engine, priced at Rs 2,500. Overall, he mentions that the vehicle has been pretty reliable and has been working amazingly, and he will continue to take care of it.
