IITian Becomes India’s Youngest Owner Of Mercedes-Maybach S680 Super Luxury Sedan
The number of young entrepreneurs from the IITs of the country is on the rise, and most of those who have managed to find success are enjoying their lives by spending money on lavish lifestyles and expensive cars. Most of them go for sports cars and supercars, along with luxury SUVs. Here we have Abhishek ‘Monty’ Agarwal, who became the youngest person from India to actually own a Mercedes-Maybach saloon. Mr. Agarwal is a graduate of IIT Bombay.
Abhishek was 33 years old when he bought the Mercedes-Maybach S680 sedan. He is the founder of one of India’s biggest fashion houses, Purple Style Labs, a company he started after graduating with a M.Tech In Aeronautics Engineering from IIT Bombay. Abhishek took delivery of his brand-new luxury saloon from a Mercedes dealership in Mumbai.

The Mercedes-Maybach S680 bought by Abhishek gets Bharat registration, which allows for seamless travel throughout the states of India without the need to change the registration plate.
The Maybach S680 is actually based on the standard S-Class luxury sedan. However, if you are a person who finds that the regular S-Class is too common or not unique, the S680 is for you. The Maybach S680 is all about luxury and comfort.
It comes with electrically adjustable seats, Nappa leather upholstery, rear-seat entertainment screens, a recliner function for all seats, a massage feature, and both heated and cooled seats. Passengers can control a variety of features from the rear without disturbing the driver. Even the doors of the S680 feature gesture control, allowing occupants to close them automatically without pulling them manually.
In addition to gesture control, the driver also has buttons to control the rear doors. Mercedes-Benz refers to this gesture control feature for doors as “Doormen.”
The S680 also comes with features like Level 2 autonomous driving, including evasive steering assist and active brake assist with cross-traffic function. The rear-wheel steering is also a feature that helps reduce the turning radius of this huge saloon. Maybachs have gained popularity among wealthy Indian businessmen and celebrities.
Just like any luxury car, the Maybach S680 is also available with various customization options. At almost 5.5 meters long, the S680 is currently one of the longest cars available for sale in the Indian market.
The S680 luxury sedan is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 turbocharged petrol engine that generates 612 PS and 900 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels via Mercedes’ 4MATIC technology.
A less expensive version of the Maybach sedan is also available in the market, and it is called the S580. It is powered by a smaller 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine with a 48-volt EQ Boost mild-hybrid system. This engine generates 496 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque.
