Indian Grandma Drives Rolls Royce Ghost [Video]

Remember the Indian grandma who made headlines by driving sportscars and supercars? In the latest video shared online, we see her driving a multi-crore Rolls Royce Ghost in Dubai. As always, she seems to be excited about the opportunity and impressed by the Ghost.
The video starts by showing the Radhamani, the grandma, giving a brief introduction. She says that she is in Dubai and adds that she is going to drive a Rolls Royce there. Then we see the White Rolls Royce Ghost being driven on Dubai roads. It is going slow. In the next few seconds, we see that Radhamani is driving the Ghost with its actual owner seated in the front passenger seat.
The owner of this Ghost seems to be a man who prefers to drive it himself. In the video, he says that this is the first time that he has had a front-passenger experience in his own car. Radhamani smiles at the comment. She drives the Rolls Royce in full style, wearing an elegant saree. She acknowledges the sheer size and expensive nature of the Ghost worries her sometimes.
Radhamani holds a valid international driving license and the Ghost is probably the first car that she drove after getting it. She says that the 'Left Hand Drive (LHD)' nature of the vehicle confused her initially, but she got accustomed soon. Parts of the video show her driving effortlessly. Interestingly, the humble owner of this Ghost sought her blessings once they were done driving around.
Radhamani is from Kerala's Kochi. The 74-year-old now holds licences to drive in 11 different categories and is probably the only woman in India to do so. Over the past few years, we have seen her drive a vast range of fast cars and SUVs. From Jaguar F-Type, Defender, BMW X1 and Z4 to Bharat Benz trucks, she can drive almost anything.
In addition to cars and SUVs, she can operate machines and vehicles like excavators, forklifts, cranes, a road roller, tractors, container trailer trucks, buses, and rigid trucks. She got her truck license in 1988, and even holds a license to transport hazardous goods.
So why does this woman hold so many licenses? Well, she runs a driving school and it is mandatory for proprietors or instructors to hold licenses to all categories of vehicles that they teach.
Radhamani now runs the A-Z Driving School in Kerala. It provides traning on various vehicles and heavy equipment. The institute was set up by her husband in 1970. After he passed away in an accident in 2004, she took over. She has since been managing the business. This grandma learnt to drive in 1981, in an Ambassador. She also made headlines by getting an automobile diploma at the age of 72. She then became the eldest woman to have this achievement.
Delighted by her inspiring story, Anand Mahindra had previously Tweeted about Radhamani Amma. He shared a post on X (previously Twitter) saying "An insatiable appetite for life… And a desire to leave behind her footprint—or her foot on as many pedals as possible. Age is truly just a number for her… She’s my #MondayMotivation." This had fetched this grandma massive fan following on various social media platforms.
Radhamani is living the life that many auto enthusiasts dream of- driving expensive and fast cars. More than that, she continues to inspire women who dream of driving around on their own but aare sceptical of being successful in doing so. She is also one of those few women who have managed to leave a mark of their own in the society.
