Love for sports cars and speed has no age barriers. You’ll see a 17-year-old and an 80-year-old equally amused by the sound of a V8. A video shared by Reenaz Abdul on Instagram shows an old gentleman revving his favourite Porsche 911 Carrera S in Goa. It is very satisfying to watch and has garnered massive viewership- it has crossed 7.5 million views at the time of writing this article.

The Video: Old Gentleman Revs His Porsche

It opens by showing a White Porsche 911 parked in a garage. It is being revved, and smoke can be seen coming out of the tailpipes. Later, we see the driver's door opening. An old gentleman gets out of the driver’s seat.

He owns the car and seems to be excited by the exhaust sound. He is from Goa and is seen wearing a trendy floral shirt and flip-flops (very unusual for a Porsche owner) in the video. Towards the end, we can hear more of the 911’s exhaust note.

The car here seems to be an older generation 911 and is likely being restored. It has a Gujarat (GJ) registration plate and is a 2013 model- the 991 (seventh) generation model.

It, however, has an aggressive rear spoiler and sporty rear bumper. It looks menacing. This is likely an aftermarket body kit. It gives the car a GT3-like appearance.Look closely and you will notice that this particular car gets standard wheel nuts. The original GT3 gets center-lock wheels.

The 991 generation was on sale during the period 2011-2015 and is often considered one of the best-looking 911s to ever go on sale (the G-series is an exception though!). When it was on sale in India, the 991 911 Carrera S had an ex-showroom price of 1.3 Crores (At 1.14 Crores, the Carrera was cheaper). Unlike its predecessors, this generation featured an electric steering.

The iconic sports car came with a 3.8-litre, flat-six engine that used to make 400 PS and 440 Nm of torque. It offered the choice of a 7-speed manual gearbox and Porsche’s iconic 7-speed PDK automatic transmission.

It was also the final 911 generation to feature a naturally aspirated engine. The 991.2 generation that replaced it in 2015 debuted a turbocharged engine.

Netizens report that he owns a Lamborghini and a couple of other supercars, in addition to the 911 shown in the video here. He happens to be India's oldest Porsche 911 owner.

Soon after this video surfaced, Moody also took delivery of a Rolls-Royce Ghost. Interestingly, it is the 8th Rolls-Royce that he owns. It in unclear if keeps the other seven or have traded some off to make room for new vehicles.

Motorwagon, a Kerala-based multi-brand used luxury car dealership, commenced the delivery. The old gentleman has had an immense love for Rolls Royce all his life and bought his eighth Rolls Royce in a classy shade of Blue.

The Ghost is powered by a 6.6-liter twin-turbo petrol engine mated to an automatic transmission. It produces 560 bhp and 780 Nm of torque.
