Latest-Generation G70 BMW 7-Series Worth Rs 2.5 Crore Abandoned

For any car enthusiast, seeing an abandoned car is a painful experience. However, when the abandoned vehicle is a luxury car, the pain increases exponentially. Over the last few years, we have seen numerous old luxury sedans and SUVs like BMWs, Mercedes, Porsche, and even Bentleys and Rolls-Royces as well. However, rarely do we see a very recently bought vehicle being left to rot. Recently, we came across a 9-month-old G70 BMW 7-Series, which is the latest generation of this flagship sedan, collecting dust on the side of a road.
These images showing the first and probably the only G70 BMW 7-Series abandoned have been shared on Instagram by Ripcar on their page. In these images, we can note a Black Sapphire Metallic colored G70 7-Series parked on the left side of a road. It can be noted that the vehicle has not been damaged after any crash, and nothing seems to be wrong with the car.
What we can note is that on the front left tyre, a wheel lock used by the police authorities has been placed, blocking the movement of the vehicle. Apart from this, the vehicle is only dirty because it has been parked in the open. As per the post, this particular BMW 7-Series is located in Chennai.
One of the netizens in the comments section has mentioned that he sees this vehicle every day. It is parked outside the New Commissioner Office Building’s back entrance, near the Veterinary Women’s Hostel in the Periamet neighborhood in Chennai.
At the moment, it is unknown who exactly owns this vehicle. Also, there are no reports that have mentioned the details of when and how this vehicle was seized by the authorities. Most likely, in the coming few days, we could get an update on why this expensive flagship luxury sedan has been abandoned on the side of the road.
The G70 BMW 7-Series is the latest generation of the flagship luxury sedan from the German automotive giant. Its main highlights are BMW’s sleek LED headlights and LED DRLs that surround the double kidney grille. It also gets Swarovski crystals on its headlights and taillights.
The 740i M-Sport also comes equipped with a ton of bells and whistles on the inside as well. Its list of amenities includes a curved display comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen.
Powering the BMW 740i M-Sport is the B58 inline 6-cylinder motor that makes 375 bhp and 520 Nm of torque. It comes mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There is also a 740d variant, which comes powered by a 6-cylinder diesel motor that makes 282 bhp and 650 Nm of torque.
This is not the first time that we have seen a luxury vehicle abandoned. Just a few weeks ago, a video became viral online in which a Ford Mustang was seen abandoned in Assam. Reportedly, this particular Mustang was seized by the Dillai police authorities in Assam. It was also mentioned that around Rs 2 crore worth of drugs were discovered in this particular sports car.
