On the internet, we often come across videos and images of cars and bikes that have been abandoned by their owners. These vehicles are often left to rot on the streets for one reason or another. In other cases, expensive and exotic cars are seized by authorities in connection with a case, and the owners never return. This is actually a sad sight, as the vehicles are parked under the direct sun in an open space with no care at all. Here, we have one such video from a yard in Pune, where cars like Rolls-Royce, Land Cruiser, and Range Rover, worth crores, are abandoned.

The video has been shared by Car Crazy India on their Instagram page. It has been posted with the caption “Once prized possessions, now left to the elements to die an untimely death. Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II, Audi TT, Range Rover, and several other cars that got impounded are now lying in a yard somewhere in Pune.”

The video starts with a Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II luxury sedan. The front grille, bonnet, and bumper of the Rolls-Royce are damaged. One of the headlights is missing as well. We are not sure if the car was involved in an accident or if it was vandalized. The rear windshield of the Rolls-Royce is broken, and dust has completely ruined the cabin.

Next, we see a Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan. Even this sedan looks damaged from the outside, with collapsed suspension, a damaged bumper, and broken headlamps. The next car shown in the video is a Range Rover Vogue. It looks like someone has removed the headlamps and grille from the SUV. Then, we see an Audi TT with missing tail lamps, a shattered rear windshield, an open bonnet, and possibly a few missing mechanical components.

The video also shows abandoned Range Rover Evoque, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Land Cruiser, and even a Mahindra Scorpio. All these SUVs are left abandoned in this yard.

We are not sure if this is a police impound lot or not. However, it is evident from their current condition that almost all the expensive cars in the yard have been neglected. Most of the cars in this yard are worth crores.

Some of the panels might have even started showing signs of rust. We checked the comment section under the video to find out who owned these cars. It appears that the vehicles belonged to someone named Nanasaheb Gaikwad from Pune. He, along with his son Ganesh, was arrested in an illegal money-lending case in 2022.

It seems likely that the cars belong to them, and if that is the case, then the vehicles were probably seized by the investigating agency as part of the probe. Most of these cars are actually damaged beyond repair. While many people have purchased cars like these from government auctions, in this case, we don’t think it would be a great idea.

We say this because many of these cars have severe damage, and anyone who buys them at auction would have to spend a significant amount to restore them to working condition. If you are purchasing one with the intention of reselling, you might not make any profit from it.
