Actor Ajith Kumar’s Buys A Brand New Ford F150 Raptor Pick Up Truck [Video]
South Indian actor Ajith Kumar, often called ‘Thala’ by his fans, is a big-time car enthusiast. His love for cars is so strong that he has even participated in professional competitions and owns a racing team of his own. Now settled abroad, Ajith is often seen sharing videos and images of himself driving on racetracks or taking delivery of new cars. This time, a new video has surfaced online showing him picking up a brand-new Ford F-150 Raptor pickup truck.
The clip was shared by Ajith.Kumar Official on Instagram, which is a fan page dedicated to the actor. In the video, Ajith can be seen interacting with dealership staff and checking out a vehicle. At first, the vehicle isn’t revealed, but it later turns out to be the Ford F-150 Raptor. It appears that Ajith was either taking delivery of the truck or finalizing the booking process.
The F-150 Raptor is not the kind of vehicle we have usually seen Ajith drive. He is mostly associated with exotic sports cars and hypercars- he even owns a McLaren Senna, making him the only Indian celebrity to possess one. The Raptor, however, is not a regular pickup; it’s a performance-focused truck that packs serious power under the hood, much like his supercars.
The truck also complements Ajith’s adventurous lifestyle. Known for his passion for bikes as well, the Raptor’s large bed makes it easy for him to load and transport motorcycles for road trips and off-road adventures. In many parts of the world, dual-cab trucks like the F-150 are popular for such activities. In fact, Ford’s F-Series lineup holds the title of being the world’s best-selling truck.
In the video, Ajith is also seen signing some documents, possibly completing the paperwork before driving the vehicle home. He seems visibly happy with his new acquisition. Just as with the Senna, Ajith may well be the only Indian actor to own a truck like the F-150 Raptor.
The Ford F-150 Raptor is not officially sold in the Indian market, although a few imported examples of American pickups, including some Raptors, can be found here. The one Ajith picked up was most likely purchased in Dubai, where he is currently based.
The Raptor is a true-blue American machine powered by a massive 5.2-litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 720 PS and 867 Nm of peak torque. Its exact price isn’t known since it was never sold in India, but it remains one of the most desirable trucks in its category.
