Actor Misbehaves With Cop: BYD Sealion Electric Luxury SUV Seized [Video]

Rash driving is a major cause of accidents on our roads, and we often come across videos and images of such violations on the internet. We often see social media influencers also flaunt traffic rules for the sake of recording viral content. Not just social media influencers, but actors and politicians also break rules, and necessary actions are taken against them too.
Here, we have an incident from Hyderabad where a young actor, Bellamkonda Srinivas, allegedly misbehaved with a cop on duty. The actor was driving a BYD Sealion EV, and the same was seized by authorities after the incident.
There are several videos and images circulating on social media related to this incident. As per the reports available online, the incident took place on May 13 in Jubilee Hills. Traffic constable S. Naresh was on duty at the Journalist Colony junction.
At around 3 PM, actor Bellamkonda Srinivas, in his luxury electric SUV, BYD Sealion, arrived at the location and attempted to take a right turn. It was actually an illegal right turn, which means the actor was driving on the wrong side of the road. He attempted the turn onto Road No. 70.
However, S. Naresh spotted the vehicle and ran towards it. The officer stopped the car and confronted the driver. When the officer tried to intervene, the actor allegedly drove the vehicle towards the officer. Reports mention that the car was driven in a rash and negligent manner, and the actor drove the car off.
Another officer who was on duty at the same spot rushed to the scene, and by this time, the actor had reversed the vehicle and fled towards Road No. 45. Constable S. Naresh filed a complaint against the actor, and the Tollywood actor has been booked for rash driving. The car has been seized by the authorities in connection with the case.
The case registered against the actor is under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections 281 (rash driving on a public way) and 221 (obstructing a public servant in discharge of public functions), and Motor Vehicles Act sections 184 (dangerous driving), 179 (disobedience of lawful orders), and 119 (failure to obey traffic signs).
Speaking about the incident, Jubilee Hills Inspector K. Venkateshwar Reddy said, “No one was injured in the incident. The actor attempted to make an illegal turn onto Road No. 70 and drove in a rash manner. We have issued him a notice to record his statement.”
