Actor Rahman Rides Royal Enfield Himalayan Like A Pro (Video)

South Indian actor Rahman is still loved for his adventurous and romantic hero roles from the mid 80s. He could often be seen riding iconic motorcycles of the time in movies back then. Bringing back those memories, the actor was recently seen riding a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 on what appears to be a barren, harsh terrain.
The 57-year-old actor shared a reel of the same on his official Instagram handle. It shows him getting onto a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411. It is interesting to see that it is the old one, not the new Himalayan 450, which has a fair superiority over the other. He then rides it through some harsh, slushy and grassy terrains. The track was quite challenging and the actor cracked it like a pro.
A few seconds into the video, you can see Rahman stand up and ride the Himalayan in true ADV fashion. With its foot peg position and ergonomics, the Himalayan 411 lets you do this manoeuvre comfortably. We also get to see him safely dodge a slip. The man’s a true biker.
The motorcycle used in the video does not look like a stock Himalayan. It seems to be purpose-built for off-roading and likely has off-road tyres and spoke wheels. There are several stickers and decals on the bodywork as well. The motorcycle draws its juice from a 411 cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm. The transmission on offer is a 5-speed unit.
The Himalayan has a stock seat height of 800mm, accessible to most people. The seat height of the one featured in the video could be different. Also, it is satisfying to watch how the suspension absorbs and sucks in all the undulations and harshness of the terrain.
It appears to be Rahman’s first stint with the RE Himalayan 411. The text on his video reads ‘ Amazing bike, first time on it. Best off-roader. Especially this location was an absolute test. It passed’.
The actor has a strong fandom in South India. In the mid-80s and early 90s, he used to ride Bullets and RD 350s in his movies. Both these motorcycles were iconic back then. People soon fell in love with the swag of the actor-motorcycle combo. The reel has made Rahman’s fans walk back the memory lane.
‘Remember your bike scene in films in my teenage’ said a user, giving a nod to the scenes that had the actor stand and ride the Royal Enfield Bullet. Many seem to remember him for his swanky scenes with the iconic RD 350 as well. ‘A Biker is Always a Biker… Age Never Counts… Awesome to see u off-roading’ says another fan. Several influencers and public figures have also shown up with words of appreciation.
It is unclear if this stint with the Himalayan was for an upcoming movie or some OTT series. The setting looks like a shooting set. It would be a treat for the fans if they could see him ride adventurously on something like the Himalayan, and do some insane action on the big screen.
The most recent time we saw Rahman on the screen would be in the web series 1000 Babies, which is currently streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar. The actor also has a number of other movies lined up for release, spread across the Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu industries.
