This Rolls Royce Cullinan in Ambani’s Garage Has Paint Job Worth Rs 1 Crore

The Ambanis and their obsession with expensive cars is something we have discussed on our website several times. If there is one particular model that is currently very popular among the Ambani family, it would be the Cullinan. Just before Anant Ambani’s wedding, the family bought their ninth Cullinan SUV. The car is mostly used by Anant Ambani, and we have seen several videos of this new Cullinan online. However, there is one Cullinan in the Jio Garage that features a very special paint job, which reportedly cost them around a crore.
A video of this Cullinan has been circulating on the internet for quite some time. The video was recorded when the Ambanis bought the SUV. It shows their brand-new Rolls Royce Cullinan, accompanied by a convoy of security vehicles. According to a report by PTI, the new Rolls Royce Cullinan was priced at Rs 13.14 crore. It should be noted that this is not even the Black Badge version. This is the regular Cullinan, which has a starting price of Rs 6.95 crore, ex-showroom.
If you’re someone who knows about cars, then you’d know that the price of any Rolls Royce is determined by the number of customizations the owner opts for. These customizations only increase the price of the vehicle, not reduce it. If you read the above paragraph carefully, you’ll realize that the Ambanis spent more on customizations than the base price of a standard Cullinan.
Among these customizations is the paint job, which alone is said to have cost them around Rs 1 crore. Besides the interior customizations and exclusive paint job, the luxury SUV also runs on 21-inch alloy wheels, the price of which is only available upon request. The exact details of the customizations chosen by the Ambanis are not known.
In addition to the exclusive paint job, wheels, and interior customizations, the Ambanis also spent a significant amount on the registration of this Cullinan. Many cars in the Jio Garage have the registration number “0001,” which is highly sought after. If you are in the market for this number, it would typically cost you around Rs 4 lakh.
However, the Ambanis spent three times more than that. The RTO (Regional Transport Office) informed that the number was selected from a new series, as all the numbers from the current series were already taken. This is why the RTO charged a staggering Rs 12 lakh for the registration number alone.
The RTO officials also noted that with written permission from the Transport Commissioner, a new series could be initiated without fully exhausting the previous series. Additionally, reports suggest that a one-time tax of Rs 20 lakh was paid, and the registration is valid until January 2037. Furthermore, Rs 40,000 was paid as road safety tax.
The Ambani family currently owns the most Rolls Royce Cullinans in India. They have at least six Cullinan SUVs in India, with others stationed at their residences abroad. We even saw Radhika Merchent and Anant Ambani attend recently concluded Paris Olympics. They had arrived at the venue in a Rolls Royce Cullinan.
