Anant Ambani's Rolls Royce Cullinan Gets Paint Job Worth Rs 1 Crore
The Ambani family, for some reason, has developed a love for the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. They have at least 10 Cullinan luxury SUVs in their collection, and each of them is unique in its own way. This affects the overall cost of the car as well. Here we have a Rolls-Royce Cullinan from the Jio garage that has a paint job alone worth ₹1 crore.
A video featuring this Rolls-Royce Cullinan has been making the rounds online for a while. The car seen in the video is a Series I Cullinan, and it was filmed at the time the Ambanis purchased the luxury SUV. The footage shows their brand-new Cullinan, accompanied by a convoy of security vehicles. As reported by PTI, the vehicle was priced at ₹13.14 crore. This is the regular version, not the Black Badge variant. It's the standard Cullinan, which had a starting ex-showroom price of ₹6.95 crore when available in the market.
If you know even a bit about Rolls-Royce cars, you’d know that the cost of a Rolls-Royce largely depends on the level of customization chosen by the owner. These customizations always add to the overall price, never lower it. If you go by the reports, it's clear that the Ambanis spent significantly more on custom features than the standard base price of a regular Cullinan.
One of the notable customizations in this case is the paint job, which reportedly cost around ₹1 crore on its own. In addition to the bespoke interior and exclusive exterior finish, the luxury SUV is equipped with 21-inch alloy wheels, the price of which is disclosed only on request. The specific details of the customizations selected by the Ambanis remain unknown.
Apart from the paint job, the Ambanis have also spent a lot on the registration number. Almost all their vehicles have a fancy number, so offering a regular number was never an option for the Cullinan. It is said that the Ambanis spent around ₹12 lakh for the number “0001”. Usually, this number costs around ₹4 lakh, but in this case, the Ambanis had to spend more because the number was selected from a new series, as all the numbers from the current series were taken. This is why the RTO charged a staggering ₹12 lakh for the registration number alone.
Not Just Rolls-Royce
Rolls-Royce is not the only car in the Jio garage to get an expensive shade like this. In fact, Ambani’s daughter, Isha Ambani, owns a Bentley Bentayga luxury SUV worth ₹4 crore, which has a shade that can shift colours depending on the light.
The multi-crore SUV is finished in an iridescent colour, which looks different from every angle. It is generally a wrap colour, which, when applied to a car, changes its appearance and colour depending on the direction of the light.
The original shade of the car is white, and the wrap has been applied to give it a unique look. Before this, we have also seen her travel in a Rolls-Royce Cullinan that received a similar treatment.
