Ambanis Buy India’s First Bulletproof Rolls Royce Cullinan: Images

The Ambanis have the largest private car collection in India. The exact number of vehicles in the Jio Garage is not known to the outside world. Not only do they have the largest private car collection, but they are also the richest family in the country, owning the most Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUVs. They have at least 10 Rolls-Royce Cullinans, and they have now decided to add another one. However, the latest Cullinan is special as it is probably the first bulletproof Rolls-Royce Cullinan in the Ambanis’ garage.
Images of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan have been shared by Automobili Ardent India on their Instagram page. It appears the images were shared by one of their online followers. In the image, we see a Rolls-Royce Cullinan finished in a beautiful shade of silver.
The image has been shared with the caption:
“With the number of Cullinans they have, the Ambanis decided it’s time to have one that’s bulletproof. Here’s a gorgeous silver Rolls-Royce Cullinan from the #Ambani fleet spotted in Chandigarh at a workshop that specializes in bulletproofing cars.”
However, the SUV seen in the image doesn’t look like the Series II version of the SUV. It looks more like the Series I Cullinan SUV. We are assuming that the Cullinan in the image was already a part of the Ambanis’ garage, and they decided to get it bulletproof only now. Usually, we have seen Mukesh Ambani travel in S 680 Guard sedans with heavy security around him.
While sedans are more comfortable, SUVs are better suited for our road conditions, which is why we have seen a rise in demand for SUVs not just in India but globally. Maybe that is the reason Mukesh Ambani also thought of upgrading to a bulletproof Cullinan. This is, again, an assumption, and we could be wrong. Another possibility is that the car was purchased and handed over to the workshop long ago, and it is only now that we have seen the images of the vehicle.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is an ultra-luxury SUV with several customization options. Depending on the customizations, the price of the Cullinan increases. In this case, a regular Cullinan was purchased and handed over for armored bodywork at a workshop. The exact cost of this particular SUV cannot be estimated.
While the Ambanis have a couple of Black Badge Rolls-Royces, this one looks like a standard Cullinan. The SUV is powered by a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that generates 563 Bhp and 850 Nm of peak torque. The Ambanis were the first to take delivery of a Cullinan in India. They purchased the first SUV back in 2019, soon after its launch. They used the car for a few years during the pandemic, and in 2021, they acquired their second Cullinan. The first one is finished in a shade of brown, while the second one is Arctic white.
The third Rolls-Royce Cullinan is often used by their daughter. It has a color-changing wrap and has been spotted in Mumbai several times. The fourth Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the one seen in the last slide of this post. This Cullinan caught attention due to its Tuscan Sun shade, which cost almost a crore. The fifth Cullinan SUV is a Black Badge that was gifted to Nita Ambani during Diwali last year.
The sixth one is a Black Badge version finished in Pebble Paradiso shade. This was purchased just before Anant Ambani’s wedding. Other than these, the Ambanis have a Series II Cullinan SUV that they recently purchased and a couple more Rolls-Royce Cullinans in other countries.
