Recently, a video has been shared online in which a white Lamborghini Murciélago is seen rotting in a junkyard, and this is breaking the hearts of many. What's even more unique about this Lamborghini Murciélago is that it was once the pride and joy of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan's garage.
Amitabh Bachchan's Ex-Lamborghini Murciélago’s Video
The video of Amitabh Bachchan's ex-Lamborghini Murciélago has been shared on Instagram by rip_car on their page. It starts off with a view of the front of this particular supercar. We can note that the entire front subsection of this vehicle, which normally has an aluminum frame and body panels, is missing. Both front fenders, the bonnet, and other essential parts of the vehicle, including the cooling system, are missing.
There are some components of the suspension on the front left side, like the shock absorbers, but the condition of the other side is unknown. Also, all the alloy wheels of the vehicle have been taken off. Whether they have been sold or stored in some other place is currently unknown. The video then shows the side profile of Amitabh Bachchan's Murciélago.
We can note that the iconic scissor doors of this legendary supercar are still present. As for the rear, the entire suspension system and the wheel hub of this supercar are missing. The video then goes on to show the interior of the vehicle, which is completely covered in dirt and spiderwebs. However, despite this, we can observe that it is finished in black and red leather.
The steering wheel, seats, and other important components are still there. In the video, the cameraman then shows the engine bay of the vehicle by removing the engine cover. We can note that the engine block and other important components are still present, but the condition is extremely poor.
Amitabh Bachchan's Name Is Still on the Registration
For those who may not be aware, Amitabh Bachchan sold this car to a person from Delhi. It was reported that this particular owner had crashed the vehicle. However, despite the change of ownership, the vehicle's registration is still under the name of Amitabh Bachchan. Why exactly Mr. Bachchan has not transferred the name of this vehicle is unknown. As per the post, the shop that currently has this vehicle is also not passing it on for the same reason.
How Much Would It Cost to Restore This Lamborghini Murciélago?
As per sources, the shop that currently has this vehicle is asking ₹55 lakh for the vehicle in the condition seen in the video. As for the restoration cost, it has been estimated that after all of the original parts are ordered from the Lamborghini factory in Italy, it will cost around ₹1.5-2 crore to restore this supercar to a brand-new condition. Most likely, for this reason, nobody is buying and restoring this vehicle.
Lamborghini Murciélago
The iconic Lamborghini Murciélago was sold in India back in the mid-2000s, and at the time, it was priced around ₹2.6-3 crore. It came powered by the legendary 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine, which was capable of generating a maximum of 631 bhp and 660 Nm of torque.
