For those who may have forgotten, back in July 2024, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot in Mumbai. Approximately, their entire wedding, including the elaborate pre-wedding function in Jamnagar, Gujarat, a cruise trip to Portofino, and the wedding in Mumbai, cost around $600 million or close to Rs 5,200 crore.
During these wedding celebrations, they gifted a lot of things to the biggest celebs who attended their wedding. However, in return, they also received a ton of super expensive gifts as well. Of these, one of the craziest things they received is a Rs 15 crore bulletproof Dartz SUV. Unfortunately, who exactly gifted the couple this bulletproof SUV is currently unknown.
Dartz Bulletproof SUV
Dartz is a Latvia-based company that specializes in high-performance armored vehicles. Their SUVs are generally seen in Hollywood movies and also driven by Hollywood celebrities and Sheikhs of Dubai. The one gifted to Anant Ambani is reportedly based on a Rs 3.5 crore Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 luxury SUV.
This particular GLS600 has been converted into the Dartz Prombron’ The Dictator Aladeen Edition 2010. The Dartz Prombron’ is offered with two armor options. The first is BR2 Armor, which is a base version and weighs 2,200 kg. Meanwhile, the other is STANAG-certified armor. This is military-grade protection; it has more weight and costs a lot more.
Presently, it is unclear which exact version of the armor has been given to Anant Ambani’s Dartz Prombron’. However, our guess is he has been given the more expensive armor. Also, it has been reported that his SUV is finished in a striking gold color and has been heavily modified to suit his luxurious taste.
Mechanical Specifications
The standard Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, which is priced at Rs 3.5 crore in India, comes equipped with an AMG-derived 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. It is capable of producing 550 PS and 700 Nm of torque. However, the Dartz Prombron’ modified for Anant Ambani makes 800 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque. Also, it can do a sprint of 0-100 kmph in just 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 280 kmph.
Has This Bulletproof SUV Been Seen in India?
Well, the answer to this is no, this particular Dartz Prombron’ bulletproof SUV gifted to Anant Ambani has not yet been spotted in India. It is believed that this vehicle has been delivered to him at one of his residences outside India. It could be in Dubai, London, or any other place as well.
