Bankrupt Billionaire Anil Ambani And His Cars [Video]

Ambanis — when we hear this name, we think of one of the wealthiest families in Asia. Mukesh Ambani and his family have one of the largest private car collections. We often speak about the Ambani family, their extravagant lifestyle, and their cars. However, Mukesh Ambani has a brother, Anil Ambani. He was also running a business successfully and was once ranked the 6th richest person in the world. However, things soon changed, and in 2020 he filed for bankruptcy. While we speak about Mukesh Ambani a lot, we have not spoken much about Anil Ambani’s car collection. Here we have a video that shows some of the cars owned by Mukesh Ambani’s younger brother.
The video has been shared by Cars For You on their YouTube channel. In this video, we see some of the cars owned by the bankrupt billionaire Anil Ambani. When compared to Mukesh Ambani, Anil doesn’t own many expensive cars. The first car seen in the video is a Hyundai Ioniq 5. The electric crossover is currently the flagship electric model from the South Korean car manufacturer.
The crossover has been spotted several times with the EV. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is sold exclusively as a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, with the rear-mounted electric motor generating 215 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. The 72.6kWh battery pack of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 claims a 631 km range. The price for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is Rs 46.05 lakh, ex-showroom.
The next car in the video is the BYD Seal. This is probably one of the most recently bought cars. He was spotted with this EV during Anant Ambani’s wedding celebrations. He bought the car in a signature blue shade.
The BYD Seal is offered with two battery pack options: a 61.44kWh battery and an 82.56kWh battery, both featuring BYD’s proprietary blade battery technology. The price for a brand new BYD Seal electric sedan starts at Rs 41 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes all the way up to Rs 53 lakh, ex-showroom.
The next car in the video is not an EV. It is a Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 SUV. The 450 is the facelifted version of the flagship SUV, which was launched in India earlier this year. The SUV is loaded with features to the brim.
Mercedes-Benz offers both petrol and diesel engine options with the new GLS. The petrol version is the GLS 450, while the diesel version is the 450d. The petrol version seen here is powered by a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine that generates 381 PS and 500 Nm of peak torque.
The last car in the video is a Mercedes-Benz S-Class S450 sedan. Just like the GLS SUV, the S-Class is the flagship sedan in the Mercedes-Benz range. This car is mostly used by Anil Ambani’s wife, Tina Ambani. The S450 sedan is now locally assembled in India, which has significantly reduced its price.
The sedan is powered by a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine that generates 362 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The price for a brand new S450 sedan is Rs 1.86 crore, ex-showroom. Anil may have other cars in his collection too, but the ones mentioned here in the video are the ones in which he is spotted in public.
