Anil Kapoor Buys A Range Rover LWB Autobiography (Video)
Bollywood has done some serious shopping this Diwali. Indian actor and producer Anil Kapoor has gifted himself a brand new Range Rover LWB Autobiography. He bought this SUV on October 2, 2024, and arrived for the Karva Chauth celebrations in it.
The actor, who has done notable roles in many Bollywood and international movies and television series, has chosen the luxury SUV in a Santorini Black shade, much in keeping with his charismatic personality. In a video shared on ‘Cars For You’ YouTube channel, the legendary Indian actor is seen arriving at his home, decorated for Karva Chauth celebrations in the new SUV. Matching its body paint, Anil Kapoor is seen wearing Black as well. He even has a Black sunglasses on.
The actor’s new Range Rover Autobiography wears the registration plate MH02 GH 6611. It looks menacing in Black. Land Rover had recently started local assembly of the Range Rover AB, and the same had brought its price significantly down. As much as 50 lakhs were shaved off the Autobiography’s price. Currently, it has an ex-showroom price of 2.6 Cr. The on-road cost in Mumbai could touch 3 Cr.
The Autobiography version is only available with a mild-hybrid petrol engine. The (P400) powertrain consists of a 3.0L, six-cylinder, Ingenium petrol engine that produces 394 hp and 550 Nm. The top speed is 242 kph and 0-100 kph comes in just 5.9 seconds, despite this being a heavy SUV.
The SUV is known for its luxury and comfort on offer for the occupants, and for the respect it commands for its owner. Arrive at an occasion in one, and you will never go unnoticed! Due to these, it is a top pick among A-list celebs and the affluent. After starting local assembly, the value proposition of this SUV has had a climb, and so have the sales.
Anil Kapoor’s Expensive Garage
The Indian actor, often called by the nickname ‘ Lakkhan’ owns an expensive garage. We have seen him and family with various luxury and sports cars over the years. While Google says it has no clear clue of his net worth, we got info to share about his garage!
The actor could still be owning the White Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder that his son Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor was previously spotted driving around in. The car used to have a price of around 1.8 Cr back then. The Lambo’s powertrain was capable of producing 560 hp and 540 Nm.
The Kapoors have also owned Mercedes Maybach S500 which had a price of 1.86 Cr and a powerful 4.7L V8 that produced 453 hp. Another notable member of his garage was the Audi A8L. This long-wheelbase version of Audi’s flagship was once a highly sought-after buy among celebs. It housed a 2995 cc V6 petrol powertrain.
Like Mercedes, Anil Kapoor seems to have had an affinity towards BMW as well. He has over the years, owned several BMW sedans like the 5 series and the 1.4 Cr 7 series. He has also owned a Volvo XC90 in the past. The other Land Rover he’s owned before the brand-new Autobiography was a Range Rover Sport. It had a 5-litre V8 engine that could produce 510 bhp and 625 Nm. He’s reportedly owned a Mercedes GLS as well.
Anil Kapoor’s Safari StormeThe actor has also owned affordable Indian models like the Tata Safari Storme. Interestingly, the veteran actor-producer has owned most of his cars in Black. Also, we are not certain how many of these vehicles are still with him, and how many have been traded off.
