Aprilia RS457 Owner: Threatened By Dealership After Refusing To Accept Warranty Repair

Over the last few weeks, we have heard about multiple Aprilia RS457 owners going through different issues on their respective bikes. Most recently, another video has been shared online in which an Aprilia RS457 owner was seen showing his 9-month-old bike parked at the service station with its engine opened for a replacement of the cylinder head. The owner has also highlighted that he has been facing multiple issues with the bike, and they have been consistently coming up ever since he bought it back in August of last year.
This video, talking about the issues of his Aprilia RS457, has been shared on YouTube by Cinemoto K on their channel. In this vlog, the owner of the bike, who hails from Indore and is a motovlogger, has shared all the things wrong with his bike. He highlights that currently, his bike has a weird noise coming out of the radiator assembly, which has already been replaced once.
Following this, he adds that the bike's instrument gauge cluster is also making a rattling noise, which, according to him, is due to a loose bolt. Following this, he adds that the braking of the bike is not adequate, and he has nearly crashed on multiple occasions, so he wants to get his brakes checked as well. The owner, before reaching the service centre, also highlighted that his bike has been suffering from a power loss as well.
The vlogger in the video then shows that he left his bike at the service centre of Aprilia in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and was asked to come back the next day. However, he was not given the bike the next day, and when he reached the service centre two days later, he found out that his entire bike was disassembled. He was then briefed that the noise which he was hearing was from the engine and not the radiator.
In the video, the Aprilia service centre employee was seen showing the faulty engine part and the opened gearbox and clutch assembly to the higher authorities from the brand on a video call. The vlogger in the video then mentions that he has been provided with the details of the issues on the bike and the solution provided by the company.
Following this, the vlogger then summarises the issues with this Aprilia RS457. He states that the service centre has told him that his bike’s cylinder head will need a complete replacement, which will be covered under the warranty. However, he then mentions that he does not want his 9-month-old bike to have an engine that has been opened for repairs, as it would ruin its resale value.
For this reason, he rejects the repair and tells them to pause the repair, and he will only permit it after discussion. He then showed a few mails in which he had highlighted the issues to the Aprilia India officials. In the mail, he also mentioned that before he can make a decision, he has to be clearly told why his bike is facing so many issues despite it being brand-new.
Although it is unfortunate that the Aprilia RS457 of this owner has to get its cylinder head replaced in just 9 months since purchase, it has to be noted that the owner cannot deny the under-warranty replacement offered by Aprilia. The reason behind this is that companies offer warranties for a reason. If every customer who is not satisfied with the repair demands a new bike, companies will become bankrupt.
Recently, a post has also been shared online which shows that this particular owner of the Aprilia RS457 was asked to sign a paper which mentions that if he does not delete all the videos related to this issue of his bike, he will lose the warranty on his bike. Now, we understand that him demanding a stop on the repairs is an issue. It also has to be noted that the company blackmailing him to delete videos is completely wrong as well.
