Seltos Owner Books New Kia Seltos: Wants 1st Day Delivery [Video]
Kia India, on December 10th, showcased the all-new second-generation Seltos in India. Soon after, on the 11th of December, it commenced the official bookings for this SUV with a booking amount of Rs 25,000. As a result, the popular YouTuber/Instagram influencer Arun Panwar has shared a video of him booking the first Kia Seltos. He then asked the dealership if he will be getting the first new-generation Kia Seltos from the dealership or not.
First Kia Seltos booked
The video in which Arun Panwar shares the news of him booking the Kia Seltos has been shared on Instagram by him. This short clip starts with him saying that a lot of people nowadays are booking Land Rover Defenders and Mercedes-Benz G-Wagens. However, they have booked the all-new second-generation Kia Seltos model.
He then shows the envelope which stated, “First Booking of the New Seltos.” Panwar then highlights that this is the first booking of the new Kia Seltos in this particular dealership, after which he asks the dealership sales team staff if he will get the first Seltos delivery from the dealership or not. To this, he assures him that his Seltos will be the first.
Arun Panwar adds that they already own a Kia Seltos diesel, so buying one is mandatory for them. He then emphasizes to the staff that he will buy the new Seltos, that too with the diesel engine, and finished in white color like his current Kia Seltos.
Second-generation Kia Seltos
After keeping everyone on their toes for a long time, Kia India finally, on December 10th, unveiled the all-new second-generation Seltos in India and globally. This time around, the Seltos has been completely redesigned and now boasts a much more futuristic exterior design. At the front, this SUV now gets a brand-new Tiger face grille and new signature Star Map LED DRLs.
It also gets triple-slat LED headlights along with thunderbolt DRLs on either end. The front bumper is now also very aggressive and gets unique body-colored bezels on the sides. The Seltos has now become longer by 95 mm, and its wheelbase has increased by 80 mm compared to the current-generation model. Its width has also increased by 30 mm, and its boot capacity has increased by 14 litres as well.
Moving to the side profile, the new Seltos now gets flush-type door handles and unique and aggressive-looking 18-inch alloy wheels. As for the rear, it now gets inverted L-shaped LED taillights, a new rear tailgate, and a brand-new rear bumper. Overall, the new Seltos looks more modern and sharp.
On the inside, the new Kia Seltos has also changed completely. It now gets a massive 30-inch panoramic display. This display houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument gauge, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 5-inch HVAC panel. The new Seltos also gets a new steering wheel, a memory seat for the driver, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and many others.
As for the powertrain options, Kia has retained all three engines offered in the current model. These include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol making 114 bhp and 144 Nm, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol making 158 bhp and 253 Nm, and lastly, the 1.5-litre diesel engine making 115 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, iMT, torque converter automatic, and DCT. As for the pricing of the new-generation Seltos, it will be announced on January 2nd.
