Goa is known as the party capital of India. However, we have lately been hearing a lot of reports from Goa where tourists have faced inconvenience or have created issues in the state. One such incident was recently reported from Candolim, Goa, where locals stopped a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen luxury SUV driven by actress Ayesha Takia’s husband for changing lanes without proper indication.

The video of the incident has been circulating on social media for the last couple of days. In this video, we see locals walking toward a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen SUV on a busy road in Candolim. The locals approaching the car are shouting at the driver. They have blocked the vehicle's path. We see a large number of people on the road, and other vehicles are stuck in the jam as well.

As per the video, the locals and the G-Wagen driver, identified as Farhan Azmi, husband of actress Ayesha Takia, were involved in an argument. According to the footage, the G-Wagen driver allegedly changed lanes without proper indication. This triggered the locals who were driving behind the SUV. Two women are seen jumping in front of the vehicle to block its way and abusing the driver.

They stopped the car and started arguing with the driver over his behavior. Both parties engaged in a heated exchange, and the video also claims that the G-Wagen driver allegedly threatened the locals with a gun that he was carrying in a bag in the car. However, there is no video evidence of the driver making such threats available online. The driver has denied these allegations.

When the driver saw that the argument was escalating, he contacted the local police. When the cops arrived at the scene, the locals became even more furious and demanded that the driver be brought out of the car.

The police took both parties to the police station, where the locals misbehaved with the officers. Ultimately, both parties declined to file an official complaint, stating that they had resolved the issue amicably.

Although the issue was settled, the local police lodged a complaint on behalf of the state for creating a nuisance. This appears to be a clear case of road rage, and it is unclear which party is to blame.

As per the information available online, Ayesha Takia and her husband are cooperating with the authorities. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, the best approach is to avoid engaging with the other party. Confrontation or threats will only escalate the situation.

It is always a good idea to call the police for assistance, as was done in this case. The reason for this argument seems bizarre, as the report suggests that the locals became angry after seeing the G-Wagen change lanes without indicating.

While failing to signal a lane change is wrong, it is not a significant enough reason to start an argument in the middle of the road. If the locals had an issue, they should have ideally recorded a video and shared it with the local police so that the necessary action could be taken.
