Actor Balakrishna Gifts Swanky New Porsche Cayenne To Music Composer Thaman [Video]

Actor Balakrishna, fondly called Balayya by fans, has surprised music composer Thaman S (Nandamuri Thaman) with an expensive gift. Following the success of their recent movie Daaku Maharaaj, Balayya gifted a brand-new Porsche Cayenne to the composer, as a token of appreciation. The photos of Thaman receiving his Porsche from the actor were shared on X (previously Twitter).
A video shared on Threads shows Nandamuri Thaman receiving the keys to his Porsche Cayenne from Balakrishna. He is also seen seeking the actor’s blessings. The composer is seen happy and accomplished, in the video. The pictures and videos suggest this Cayenne to be finished in the Quartz Grey Metallic shade. We are not sure of the additional specs on this SUV. The new generation Porsche Cayenne has a starting price of 1.42 Cr, ex-showroom. This can go up to 2 Crores for the range-topping variant.
The cabin of the facelift gets a complete overhaul. It now comes with a Taycan-like design and a triple-screen setup. There is a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen in the centre and a 10.9-inch touchscreen for the passenger. The passenger screen is available as an option. The instrument cluster is now Taycan-like and there is even a new steering wheel design. The drive selector sits on the dashboard and the centre console too has got a major design overhaul.
Under its hood, the new Cayenne houses a 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It produces 353hp and 500Nm. Despite being an SUV, the Cayenne is known for its performance and handling. It is mostly preferred by enthusiasts and those who wish to make a statement with what they drive. Interestingly, it is underpinned by the same platform as the Lamborghini Urus- MLB Evo
Porsche even sells an E-hybrid version of the SUV, which gets an electrified V6 with a combined output of 470 hp. In the Indian market, the key rivals of the Cayenne are the Maserati Levante, Range Rover Sport, and Audi Q8.
Actor Balakrishna recently starred in the movie Daaku Maharaaj, directed by Bobby Kolli and produced by Naga Vamsi (Sitara Entertainment). The movie also had Bobby Deol, Shraddha Srinath, Pragya Jaiswal and Urvashi Rautela in prominent roles. It is reported to have collected 125 crore worldwide. The Porsche comes as part of the success celebration.
Many appreciated Daaku Maharaaj for its technical finesse. Thaman’s music and scores also played key roles in elevating the scenes and improving the overall experience. One of its songs, however, became a major talking point and even landed in controversies. Sekhar Master’s choreography featuring Balakrishna and Urvashi was called inappropriate by many.
The actress, however, told The Hollywood Reporter India that everything was smooth and under control during rehearsals. She further explained that everything happened so suddenly and it was hard to assess why people were criticising the choreography. The team did not expect the song to be received in the way it actually was.
