Batman And Batmobile Versus Kerala MVD: AI Video Goes Viral

With a new wave of AI-generated content kicking in, YouTube has become a wilder and more wonderful place. Creators are now pumping out hooking content that blurs the lines between reality and hilarious fiction. AI can now imagine the impossible in the most convincing and visually pleasing ways. Recently, a video was shared online which shows just how impactful and entertaining these can be. It shows Batman driving his multi-million dollar Batmobile through Kerala, and getting nabbed by the Kerala Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) for having 'illegal modifications on his car'.
It starts by showing the Batmobile moving through a village road in Kerala. An MVD official is seen chasing it. He stops the Batmobile and says 'This vehicle isn't permitted to be on Kerala roads'. He then points out the illegal modifications that have been made to it. Batman is seen seated inside.
In the next scene, we see the superhero explaining his part saying ' In Gotham, this is completely legal. Will I be booked in Kerala for these?'
The cop then asks the superhero to park the vehicle safely and get out of it. Batman obliges calmly. The cop then asks him to remove all the 'extra fittings', weapons and accessories from the vehicle. He further says that failing to comply will lead to the vehicle being impounded.
Batman then tells the cop that he needs the Batmobile (and its 'fittings') to save this land and to protect its people. He further explains that the cop can fine him once he is done 'saving the land'. In the final few frames, the superhero is seen removing parts from the Batmobile in what looks like a garage.
If you're unaware of the background, Kerala is known for its vivid car culture. It currently has some of the best modified cars in the country. The state also has a strict intolerance to modified cars and custom builds. The Kerala MVD usually asks owners to remove modifications from their vehicles and return them to stock forms. Failing to comply will lead to huge fines and vehicle impoundments- just like what's being said in the video.
Circling back to the video itself, it is indeed funny and entertaining to watch Kerala MVD flagging down an iconic vigilante like Batman. Giving a local flavour to a global icon like Batman has made the content very relatable to the Kerala audience.
People seem to enjoy how the superhero would feel in a state like Kerala, which has strong bureaucratic binds. The state's strict traffic and vehicle regulations don't accommodate a tech-packed armoured vehicle like the Batmobile.
This video was made by stitching together individual videos generated using Google Veo 3. Due to this, details like the design and make of the car and the cop's face are different in each shot/scene. However, the overall realism and quality of generation remain impressive. This video has Malayalam audio, with good lip-sync. Watch the superhero's close-up scene again...
The Veo 3 was announced in May 2025 at Google's annual I/O developer conference. It is, in fact, Google's third-gen video generation tool, which can render with high precision and realism. Many creators have adopted it to make videos for social media.
Now comes the satirical undertone. This video takes a gentle dig at Kerala's strict road and vehicle regulations and strong enforcement by the MVD. It is, in a way, saying that not even a super-rich global superhero can evade the South Indian state's strict laws and enforcement. This piece of content is indeed relatable to everyone in Kerala.
