People who buy exotic cars from brands like Bentley and Rolls-Royce are often wealthy and able to afford not only the car but also the maintenance. However, we have seen several cases where a customer who buys a used, expensive car finds themselves in trouble when the car develops an unexpected issue. This makes things worse, as many buyers of such cars are not prepared to face such situations. In these cases, these cars are often abandoned by their new owners, either on the roadside or at workshops, sometimes for months or even years. Here we have images of one such expensive car—a Bentley Continental GT Speed—abandoned on the roadside.

The images were shared by Carcrazy India on their Instagram page. In these images, we see a black Bentley Continental GT parked on the side of the road.

We are not sure of the exact location of the car, but it appears to be somewhere in West Bengal. West Bengal has a decent supercar population, and several videos in the past have shown the same.

The images were posted with the caption, “Once at the height of opulence, sad to see this Bentley Continental GT Speed eating dust out there. Good to know that its issues have been fixed and it will be back on the roads soon. Thanks to an anonymous birdie for sending this.”

The images show a beautiful Bentley abandoned on the roadside, covered in dust. The exterior of the car looks clean, suggesting it was not involved in any accidents or crashes. It is likely to be a mechanical fault—an extremely expensive one—that forced the owner to park the car here.

It appears the car is parked outside a workshop as well. It seems the admin of the Instagram page checked the vehicle’s details and found that the owner plans to get it repaired soon. Cars like these are extremely rare and costly to maintain. Sometimes, sourcing parts for these cars can be a Herculean task (especially true for classic cars).

The car in the images is a Bentley Continental GT Speed. This 2-door coupe was unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. It looks extremely aggressive and sporty with its long bonnet and coupe-like sloping roof design. The car is powered by a 6.0-liter W12 engine that generates 625 PS and 820 Nm of peak torque.

The car also came with massive 21-inch blacked-out alloy wheels. We really hope that this car hits the road again after repairs. For a car enthusiast, this is definitely a sad sight. The last recorded price of this exotic car was around Rs 4.36 crore in India. This is not the first time we have seen something like this on the internet.

Across India, there are several expensive and exotic cars abandoned for various reasons. In many cases, these cars are owned by conmen or individuals involved in criminal activities and are seized by authorities as part of investigations. We recently saw a rare Bentley Arnage R abandoned on the streets of Pune.
