As revealed by the pictures, Dinesh Thakkar arrived at the dealership (Auto Hangar in Maharashtra) with his family. The description says that Hema was unaware of what was coming her way. The car gifted to her wears an elegant Verde Silver shade. This colour looks like liquid metal under broad daylight. It looks subtle and timeless. This is the first time someone has specced a Maybach S680 with this colour in India, making it a one-of-its-kind car...
On the inside, this ultra-luxury sedan is packed with features and luxurious trims. It has generous use of Macchiato Beige leather. The cabin also features folding tables that tuck away, champagne flute holders, and more.
On receiving the car, Hema was overwhelmed with joy and gave a hearty smile. The billionaire businessman noted in the caption- 'Seeing that smile on her face- priceless'. He says that the Verde Silver was Hema's favourite colour, and that's why he chose it for his super-expensive gift.
Mercedes Maybach S680 4MATIC: A Closer Look At The Sedan
Mercedes Benz launched the Maybach S-Class in India in 2022. It came in two variants- S580 and S680 4MATIC. The former is assembled in India while the S680 of 4MATIC is brought as a full-import. The S580 Maybach is priced at Rs 2.77 crore (ex-showroom, India) while the S680 has an ex-showroom price of 3.48 Crores. On Hema Thakkar's car, the paint job alone could have cost a fortune!
Just like its predecessor, the new Maybach S680 is based on the V223 S-Class. The wheelbase thus has increased by 180mm and translates into a stretched-out cabin that packs luxury and features. Key exterior design cues are a vertical louvered Maybach grille, chrome detailing on the front bumper, signature alloy wheel design and multiple Maybach badges.
Inside, the S680 packs a lot. The displays and central touchscreen get Maybach-spec graphics and UI. The equipment array has the likes of powered rear seats with full-length floor console separating them, individual climate zones, powered front and rear seats, heated and ventilated seats, seat massage function, chauffer package, a panoramic sunroof, power close rear doors with gesture control, rear seat entertainment screens, a 1,750W Burmester 4D sound system, 360-degree camera and hands-free parking.
The sedan also comes with an adaptive air suspension and level 2 autonomous driving features like evasive steering assist, autonomous emergency braking, lane keep and lane change assist. 13 airbags are standard on both variants.
The Maybach S680 4MATIC comes powered by a massive 6.0-litre V12 engine that produces 612hp and 900Nm. The transmission on offer is a 9-speed automatic unit, and there is all-wheel drive (AWD) offered as well.
