Billionaire Gautam Singhania Trolls Lamborghini After Reveulto's Gearbox Fails During Navi Mumbai Airport Top Speed Run [Video]

Looks like the feud between Indian billionaire Gautam Singhania and Lamborghini is only set to intensify! The most recent video shared by Singhania on his Instagram shows him mocking another Revuelto for its transmission failure during a high-speed run.
The video stems from a recent airstrip run which Autocar India did with the Revuelto, at the Navi Mumbai International Airport. It shows a Yellow Revuelto gaining speed. You can see 200+ kph on the speedometer when the all-digital instrument cluster shows a 'Transmission Malfunction' warning. However, the car continues to accelerate despite the error and crosses 300 kph. The original video shared on the publication doesn't seem to notice the error. But not Singhania!
In the reel, the billionaire businessman mocked Lamborghini for its deteriorating product quality and increasing number of glitches. The video description says:
'1,015hp unleashed — and yet, another Lamborghini Revuelto falters. 'Gearbox malfunction' flashes mid-run as the Revuelto is being driven on the Navi Mumbai International Airport runway. Do these cars ever work? Can they do a simple run without a malfunction!?
Seems like Lamborghini’s glitches are becoming a feature, not a bug… and the company? Radio silent.'
The post has been amassing a lot of comments. Many have mentioned the official handle of the manufacturer, who, however, chose not to respond! Some also shared similar experiences in comments, pointing to more units (and models) being affected by the issue.
Many comments also advocate resorting to Porsches or Ferraris from the troublesome namesake Italian cars made by Lamborghini. 'Lamborghini's response is as broken as the Revuelto gearbox'- thus goes another interesting comment! Some users even mentioned Autocar in comments, asking for a comment. The publication hasn't responded yet.
For the uninformed, the Revuelto is Lamborghini's first-ever hybrid hypercar. It reached the Indian shores in December 2023 and also happens to be the carmaker's current flagship V12 supercar. The powertrain here consists of a 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12, mated to a hybrid setup comprising three electric motors. The combined output here is a massive 1,015 bhp and 807 Nm of torque.
The V12 in this case, is the lightest and the most powerful of its kind, ever produced by Lamborghini. A 3.8 kWh battery pack powers the hybrid setup. Though of little to no practical significance, the Revuelto can even do 10 km in pure electric mode!
The Revuelto also excels with its design language. It builds on the legacy of the Aventador and features interesting bits like scissor doors and an open (rear) engine bay!
Singhania's gripe with the Italian brand reflects on his social handles. He had previously shared multiple other instances of Lamborghinis failing in public. There is even a video of a rare Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63 burning in broad daylight!
The businessman's feud with the company started soon after the Revuelto's launch. He took a test drive of the car, and ended up being stranded on Atal Setu, after it had a complete electrical failure! Singhania soon took it to Twitter, and the post gathered much public attention.
Several Lamborghini owners soon joined the discussion by sharing their bitter experiences. The Italian brand, however, did not respond in this case. The silence made Singhania more frustrated.
He soon expressed his shock at the brand's 'arrogant attitude' in another post. In the weeks that followed, he even shared the video of a Lamborghini on fire, which he managed to capture on Mumbai’s coastal road. It looks like the brand ignored these as well.
