BMW Dealer Gifts Influencer And Giveaway Contest-Winner A G310 GS Adventure Bike

We have come across several occasions were we have come across videos of people receiving expensive gifts from their parents or spouse. Recently a social media influencer from Chennai was surprised when he received a call from a BMW dealership telling that he had won a competition and the prize is a brand new BMW G 310 GS motorcycle. Well, if you are thinking that this is some sort of scam, then you’re wrong.
The video has been shared by KUN BMW Motorrad on their Instagram page. The video shows Yogesh form Madurai, who is a social media influencer. He has a page with the name Mr. Automotive Enthusiast. The dealership had organised a contest where they challenged influencers and BMW fans to create engaging videos highlighting the standout features of BMW cars.
They received an overwhelming response from the contestant. KUN BMW posted on their social media page that they received numerous impressive entries and one submission stood out. That was of Mr. Yogesh from Madurai. The prize of the competition was a brand new BMW G 310 GS.
Yogesh mentions that when he got the call from BMW, he was shocked as he was not expecting anything like this. They invited him to the dealership to take delivery of the bike. In the video, we see a BMW G 310 in Racing Red shade on the dealership floor. The winner visits the dealership, has a conversation with the dealership staff, meets some of his fans and then signs documents and then unveils the bike. The winner then rides the bike out of dealership.
The BMW G 310 GS is an entry-level adventure tourer motorcycle that got launched in the market back in 2018. The updated version of the bike came to the market in 2020. It gets a design inspired from the bigger BMW adventure tourer motorcycles. It is actually a made in India motorcycle and it gets all LED headlamps, tail lamps and turn indicators.
The motorcycle gets Rallye’ paint scheme. This version of the motorcycle is available with ‘40 Years GS’ Edition too. The motorcycle comes with ride-by-wire throttle, adjustable levers, fully digital LCD display and so on. The G 310 GS is actually based on steel trellis frame.
It comes with USD forks at the front and mono shock at the rear. It also gets 5 spoke alloy wheels as standard. The motorcycle is manufactured at TVS Motor Company’s manufacturing plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. It shares several mechanical components with TVS Apache RR 310 motorcycle including the engine.
The motorcycle uses a BS6 compliant, 313-cc, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that generates 34 Ps and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. The motorcycle can do 0-50 kmph in a claimed 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 143 kmph.
Price for a brand new BMW G 310 GS starts at Rs 3.30 lakh, ex-showroom. The motorcycle competes with the likes of KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 in the segment.
