Two Wheeler Riders Stop Rashly Driven BMW And Force Cops To Intervene
The traffic on Indian roads is increasing every day, so naturally, there will be some bad drivers on the roads as well. Generally, these bad drivers get away with their rash driving, as a lot of people do not care to stop such drivers. However, recently a video has gone viral online in which a number of scooter and bike riders were seen stopping and scolding a BMW X3 luxury SUV driver who was driving recklessly.
BMW X3 driver rash driving in Bengaluru
The video showing this particular BMW X3 driver getting stopped after rash driving on a public road has been shared on YouTube by Bad Drivers of India on their channel. In this short clip, we can note that a black-colored BMW X3 was driving in the left lane of a busy road in Bangalore, Karnataka. This clip was shot on a dashcam mounted on a scooter.
What happens in the video is that this BMW X3 driver was swerving through the busy road where other four-wheeler drivers and two-wheeler riders were following the speed limit. It can be seen that the driver of this SUV was aggressively overtaking two-wheelers on the left and four-wheelers on the right side.
At some points, he even came very close to the vehicles on the side. Despite this, the driver continued his reckless driving and was speeding excessively. Following this, what happens is that the traffic density increases and the driver had to slow down his SUV.
Two-wheeler riders stopped BMW on road
During this traffic jam, what happens is that a man riding an Ather Rizta rides his vehicle in front of the BMW driver and stops. Following this, he then angrily gets off the scooter and starts shouting at the driver for recklessly driving it. It can be noted that a few other two-wheeler riders also stop at the spot.
Just when this was happening, the scooter rider spots a Bengaluru traffic police officer on the side of the road. He then immediately calls him and explains to him that this SUV driver was driving recklessly on the road and almost hit other scooter and bike riders. The scooter rider also points towards the dashcam while complaining to the police officer.
In the clip, we can hear that all the people who stopped this BMW driver were shouting and complaining. One of the riders even said that he would be filing an FIR against him (BMW driver) for rash driving. Now, what happened afterward has not been shared in the video. However, most likely, he might have been let go by the police officer after some scolding.
Driving etiquettes
To a lot of people in the comments, the driving of the BMW X3 driver did not seem extremely aggressive. However, it has to be noted that this is just a short clip, and it could be possible that the driver was driving even more rashly before.
Generally, two-wheeler riders do not bother to stop a car driver on the road. But if this driver was stopped by a number of different riders, he might have come extremely close to hitting someone.
Also, it has to be kept in mind that the person was driving an SUV. So even if he was not driving at a very high speed, his swerving in and out of lanes could cause an accident, and the damage for any two-wheeler rider would have been a lot more. It is the responsibility of car drivers to make sure that they do not jeopardize other smaller vehicle riders on public roads.
