The super popular Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, whom we know for his hit movies like “Jab We Met,” “Kabir Singh,” and many others, is a true luxury car lover. Most recently, he welcomed his second Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 SUV. Yes, you heard that right—he already had a GLS600 in his garage. But he has now replaced it with a more expensive and rare model, the Maybach GLS600 Night Series, worth Rs 4.4 crore. This is India’s first Maybach GLS Night Series – a limited edition model.
Shahid Kapoor – a car and bike enthusiast – was spotted driving his latest Maybach super luxury SUV on Mumbai streets.
Shahid Kapoor was also recently spotted with his newest Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 Night Series at the Mumbai airport. In this short clip, the actor was seen exiting the rear left seat of his SUV. This shot gave us a glimpse of the interior of this SUV as well.
Shahid Kapoor’s second Maybach GLS600
As mentioned, this particular Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is the second one that the actor has bought for himself. This time around, he has chosen the newly launched Maybach GLS600 Night Series version, which costs Rs 4.4 crore (on-road, Mumbai). In terms of the differences over the standard Maybach GLS600, it comes in a unique dual-tone paint job.
The upper portion of this SUV is painted in Mojave Silver. Meanwhile, the lower portion is finished in the classy shade of Onyx Black. As for his previous Maybach GLS600, it was finished in the elegant shade of Deep Metallic Emerald Green. Other differences in the new Night Series GLS600 include blacked-out trims and accents.
Its front grille also gets rose gold inserts, and it rides on exclusive 22-inch all-black alloy wheels with aero disc-style covers, which add a very premium and sporty look. On the inside, the GLS600 Night Series comes equipped with bespoke black Nappa leather interior accented with beautiful wood and aluminum trim.
As for the list of features, the Maybach GLS600 Night Series includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a high-fidelity 27-speaker sound system, and 64-color ambient lighting. Other notable highlights include the captain’s chairs in the rear, which come with ventilation, heating, massage, and reclining functions.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 Night Series: Powertrain
In terms of the engine, the Maybach GLS600 Night Series comes with the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This motor is capable of producing 550 bhp and 770 Nm of torque. It also gets a 48V mild hybrid system, and power is sent to all four wheels. As for the transmission, it gets a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

Shahid Kapoor is obsessed with the Mercedes-Maybach luxury brand. We say this because, prior to owning these Maybach GLS600 luxury SUVs, the actor also bought himself a Maybach S580 sedan worth Rs 3 crore. He bought this sedan, finished in a classy shade of Polar White. He even shared an Instagram reel with this sedan, which became viral.
This sedan comes equipped with the same 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine. However, it has been tuned differently and makes slightly less power of 496 bhp and 700 Nm of torque. It also comes mated to a 9-speed gearbox and a 48V mild hybrid system.
Shahid Kapoor also bought a Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special
The Bollywood actor is also a true biking enthusiast. He owns several high-end motorcycles and regularly goes on rides. His latest purchase is a Ducati Scrambler 1100 Special, for which he paid Rs 11.12 lakh. This bike comes equipped with a 1,079cc liquid-cooled L-Twin engine making 85 bhp. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
