His collection includes cars like the Ferrari 296 GTS, Porsche 911 GT3, McLaren 750S, and a Porsche 911 Turbo S. But despite owning these amazing supercars, recently, Dr. Nene revealed the car that he truly loves driving on a day-to-day basis. He stated that his favorite car is a Tata Nexon.ev. Recently, in a short reel shared by Dr. Shriram Nene on Instagram, he talks about his favorite vehicle, which he drives daily. Dr. Nene revealed that his trusty Tata Nexon.ev is surprisingly his favorite vehicle. He stated that it is small and can be taken anywhere he wants without worrying about it.
He also highlighted that the Nexon.ev is dirt cheap to run on a daily basis. Additionally, he stated that he especially loves this electric sub-compact SUV because people do not bother him when he is driving this car, as it is very discreet. For those who may not be aware, Dr. Shriram Nene took delivery of his Tata Nexon.ev back in 2022.
Dr. Nene bought the previous generation model of the Nexon and opted for the Dark Edition model. At the time, it was priced at Rs 17.5 lakh. Most likely, he bought the 40.5 kWh battery pack variant, which offers a range of 437 km on a single full charge. This model comes equipped with an electric motor that generates 141 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
Favorite track car
In the same video, Dr. Shriram Nene also talked about his favorite car to take on the race track. He revealed that he's in love with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, as it is an extremely capable and fun-to-drive vehicle. Dr. Nene highlighted that anyone can take the 911 GT3 RS on a race track and drive it to the limits. Its handling and overall performance on the track are unmatched.
As mentioned above, last year, Dr. Nene bought himself a brand-new Porsche 992 911 GT3 RS worth Rs 4 crore. This track-focused supercar comes powered by a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six producing 525 PS. He also owns a 992 Porsche 911 Turbo S as well.
Apart from these supercars, he also recently bought himself a McLaren 750S. This supercar, worth Rs 5.9 crore, is finished in the beautiful shade of powder blue. This particular vehicle also gets the same “0006” VIP registration number. It comes powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo, flat-plane V8 engine, which makes 750 hp and 800 Nm.
In addition to these supercars, Madhuri Dixit and Dr. Nene also recently bought themselves a Ferrari 296 GTS hardtop convertible worth Rs 6.25 crore. It is finished in the iconic shade of Rosso Corsa (Ferrari Red). The Ferrari 296 GTS comes powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 motor, which gets assistance from a rear-mounted electric motor. The ICE engine alone makes 664 bhp, and the electric motor makes 166 bhp. In total, this supercar makes 830 bhp and 740 Nm of torque.
