Brand-new Mahindra Thar Roxx Stripped Out

This video of the Mahindra Thar Roxx getting converted from base to top has been shared on YouTube by Her Garage. It starts off with the vlogger introducing the shop owner, car owner, and the car itself. She mentions that it is the same shop working on her Toyota Fortuner Type 1 to Legender conversion project.

She then asks the owner of the shop what modifications they will be doing to the Thar Roxx. To this, he mentions that they will be completely changing the white interior of this SUV. The shop owner, along with the car owner, highlighted that although the white interior looks good and feels airy, it gets dirty extremely quickly and, in a brand-new car, it does not look good.

List of Modifications

For this reason, they will be changing the color of this SUV’s interior to a Mocha Brown theme, which Mahindra is also offering from the factory. Mahindra Thar Roxx with Mocha Brown interior will start getting delivered by January.

To get this done quickly, the buyer has come to the aftermarket shop. Following this, the vlogger shows the technicians completely stripping the interior. They can be seen removing the seats, floor carpet, and door cards.

The vlogger also shows that, in order to paint the lower half of the dashboard, the entire dashboard was removed from the car. Following this, all the parts were sent for paint, and the remaining parts went to the shop for reupholstery. She added that, apart from these, the owner has also opted for a few other modifications.

She highlights that the Mahindra Thar Roxx comes with standard-quality speakers. However, the owner wanted to get a better-quality audio system. So, for this, he is fitting the vehicle with premium audio components and tweeters along with a four-channel amplifier. He also added new LED projector fog lights and new LED taillights and reflectors.

The vlogger then shares another video, where she shows the car getting fitted with all the modifications. She added that the interior panels of this SUV have also been given damping material to reduce NVH levels. Following this, the fitment of all the parts that were taken out gets completed in this video. The vlogger then finally shows the completed vehicle.

Should Such “Base to Top-End” Conversions Be Done?

Many people who see this video will be shocked to see that a brand-new vehicle has been completely stripped down. Many will also wonder if people should do such base to top-end modifications on their vehicles or not.

Well, the answer to this is that generally, such conversion jobs should be avoided. The primary reason is that such aftermarket modifications void the warranty of the vehicle. This is because the factory specifications are altered in such modifications.

So, in case of a mishap like a fire or any other accident, the automaker and sometimes insurance agencies pin the blame on the owner for doing unauthorized modifications. In addition to this, there is another major reason to avoid such base to top-end conversions.

If these modifications are not done properly, they can cause niggles down the line. They can lead to electrical fires, rattles, squeaky noises, and other issues as well. Additionally, automakers ensure strict quality checks; however, such aftermarket car shops do not focus on quality checks, which could lead to issues in the future.

For these reasons, it is best to avoid such modifications. However, if you still need to get these modifications done, make sure to go to a shop that offers the highest quality work with proper attention to detail. Ensure that everything is fitted as perfectly as it can be.
