Man Buys A Dozen New Tata Signa Dumper Trucks: Takes It On A Parade

We have seen people driving in convoy as part of rallies and festive celebrations in India. Apart from this, we also get to see such large convoys on the road whenever a VVIP or a very senior political leader passes by road. In all the above mentioned scenarios we have seen people use cars and bikes for such processions and acts. People also find unique ways to celebrate when they buy a new vehicle. Here we have one such video where a man buys not one or two a dozen of brand new trucks and drives them in a convoy.
The video has been shared by Anant Singh on his Instagram page. There are a couple of videos on his Instagram page. One of the video shows a personal security guard opening the door of a Toyota Fortuner so that Anant Singh can get out of the car. His Fortuner is actually parked in front of a brand new Tata truck.
The car is parked on a flyover and as the camera pans to the right we see that he had not bought just one but a bunch of brand new Tata trucks. We don’t have exact number of th trucks but it looks like somewhere around 10-12 trucks in the convoy. After checking out all the trucks, the owner gets back in the Fortuner and the convoy starts moving on the highway.
We have seen convoys of expensive cars and bikes but, this is probably the first time we have come across a convoy of trucks on the internet. It looks like the owner might use the trucks on quarry or is currently working on a huge construction site or even on a mine where he needs so many trucks to move load from one place to other.
The trucks seen here in the videos look like Tata Signa 5530. This is actually a tractor trailer setup. The Tata Signa is a rugged looking truck built to handle diverse driving conditions. The truck and trailer setup is suitable to carry heavy loads to carry cement, industrial goods, tanker, ore and minerals, steel and coal.
It is offered wiith a huge 6.7 litre Cummins engine that generates 304 Ps and 1100 Nm of peak torque. The truck come with twin fuel tank. It gets a 365 litres fuel tank along with an additional 192 litre tank as backup.
Unlike older generation trucks that were used on Indian trucks, manufacturers have started offering features to the cabin. The signa 5530 gets 3 way adjustable mechanically suspended driver seat, high speed USB charging ports, sleeper berth, sun visors for both driver and co-driver, seats with emergency locking retractor (ERL) seat belts, AC cabin, tilt and telescopic steering, Driver monitoring system and so on.
Tata is also offering cruise control on these trucks to offer better convenience to the driver on long highway journeys. What we liked in this video was the fact that the convoy was moving through the left most lane without disturbing traffic at all. Heavy vehicles like these cannot pick up speed or come to a quick stop even if they want to.
If you ever find a heavy vehicle with load passing through the road, ensure that you maintain a safe distance and always try to ensure that the driver of the truck has spotted your vehicle before making an overtake. This way you can avoid accidents and inconvenience to yourself and the truck drivers.
