Road rage has become a common phenomenon on Indian roads. Almost every day, we come across at least one video about road rage on the internet. We have mostly seen cases where things escalate immediately and end up in a fight. However, here we have a video from a biker who shows how you should deal with people in such situations.

The video has been shared by redlinebaby on his Instagram page. In this video, the rider was on his way to work. The incident happened in Karnataka, and the rider mentions that he was on his way to the office when he spotted a scooter rider and pillion who were changing lanes without looking.

He simply honked at them to ensure that they did not come in front of his bike. The rider overtook the scooter and continued to ride. As this was Bengaluru and it was morning office-hour traffic, the biker had to slow down, and the Activa rider and pillion caught up with him.

The biker realized that the pillion on the scooter was drunk, so he started maintaining a safe distance. The pillion was waving at the biker and trying to provoke him in multiple ways. The biker stayed calm and continued riding as he was getting late for work.

After this, the pillion got too close to the bike and pressed the kill switch while it was moving. The bike stopped, and the rider had to disengage the switch and continue riding. The drunk pillion was actually trying to provoke the rider and was also blabbering in English. Even after this, the rider remained calm and didn’t respond. The scooter rider once again approached from the rear, overtook the biker, and then blocked his way while mocking him.

When the drunk person realized that the rider was not reacting, his tone started to change. He became restless and began asking whether the rider understood English, Kannada, or any other language. The biker still tried to maintain a safe distance and not engage, but at the next traffic jam, the drunk pillion approached the bike and started fiddling with the camera. The rider stopped him, and this time, he confronted him.

The drunk person was probably under the impression that the rider didn’t know Kannada. However, he was surprised when he heard the rider speak fluently in Kannada. The drunk person calmed down a bit, and then the biker asked why the scooter rider had changed lanes without checking for traffic.

Meanwhile, the scooter rider attempted to block the biker’s way by standing in front of the vehicle while they were arguing. Even in this situation, the biker didn’t lose patience. He calmly asked the scooter rider to take the drunk pillion with him.

After this conversation, the scooter rider left the spot. The biker once again got stuck in traffic, but the drunk scooter rider and the pillion rode on the wrong side of the road. Neither of them was wearing a helmet, and they were riding recklessly, creating a nuisance for other road users. By riding on the wrong side of the road, they were putting their own lives, as well as the lives of innocent road users, at risk.

The rider captured the whole incident on camera and shared the video with the police. The police responded by confirming that they had forwarded the information to the concerned authorities.

We really appreciate the fact that the rider remained calm throughout the incident. He never fell for the provocations or reacted in a way that could have worsened the situation. He understood that responding would only escalate things further.

If you ever find yourself in such a situation, this is what you should do too. If you are in a car, stay inside, note down important details, and inform the local police. Otherwise, simply ignore the person so that they leave the spot on their own. Once you are safe, report the incident to the concerned authorities so that necessary action can be taken against them.
