Chennai Engineering Firm Gifts Employees 28 Cars Including Mercedes Benz C-Class, Kia Seltos, Maruti Brezza
Employees are the backbone of any company, and if they are not taken care of, any company can crumble. For this reason, a lot of companies provide their employees with incentives and bonuses. However, recently, taking things up a notch, a Chennai-based company, Team Detailing Solutions, has rewarded its employees with 28 cars and 29 bikes. Yes, you heard that right. The list of vehicles gifted includes a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, and many others.

The video of the company giving its employees these cars and bikes has been shared on YouTube by DT News Online. In the video, the owner of Team Detailing Solutions, Sridhar Kanan, is seen talking to the media about the employee appreciation ceremony. Kanan mentions that they are gifting their valuable employees 28 cars and 29 motorcycles.
In this short video, we can note that the company has gifted its employees different types of cars. Some of these cars include a Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Tata Tiago, and many others. There were a number of different bikes as well.
Company motive behind these gifts
The main motive behind these gifts to their employees is to boost their morale. The owner of the company, Sridhar, stated that they aim to recognize the hard work of their employees and make them feel appreciated. He added that the employees who have been given these cars and bikes have been selected on the basis of their performance and years of service.
Sridhar Kannan, Managing Director, stated, “We wanted to show our appreciation for their (employees’) tireless efforts in driving the company’s success. We believe our employees are our greatest assets.” He added, “We select the candidates who are highly motivated, and the concept of buying a car or a bike is like a dream for them.”
Kanan added, “We have been gifting bikes to the employees, and in 2022, we gifted cars to two of our senior colleagues. We have gifted 28 cars today. Some of them are Maruti Suzukis, Hyundais, and Mercedes-Benz as well.”
The company stated that the vehicle selection for employees has been done according to the company’s budget. However, if an employee wishes to upgrade their vehicle, they can pay the additional amount to get the model that they desire. Additionally, the company is also offering Rs 1 lakh as marriage incentive to its employees. Last year this amount was Rs 50,000 but it has now been increased.
Team Detailing Solutions was founded back in 2005. It specializes in structural steel design and detailing solutions. The company uses advanced tools such as SDS/2, Tekla, and AutoCAD to provide their clients with the best solutions for their engineering needs. Presently, the company has 180 employees, all hailing from humble backgrounds.
Billionaire diamond merchant gifted 100 cars
This is not the first time that a company or a person has gifted their employees cars and bikes. Back in August of 2023, billionaire Padma Shree awardee Savji Dholakia, who is a diamond merchant from Gujarat, gifted hundreds of cars to his employees.
The list of cars included Renault Kwid, Maruti Suzuki Celerio, and Alto. Additionally, back in 2017, he gifted 1,200 Datsun Redi-Go cars to his employees. Apart from these, he also gifted three brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLS SUVs to employees who had dedicated 25 years to his firm. The total number of employees in his company exceeds 5,000.
