Bollywood actor Chunky Panday is one of the first actors to buy the all-new Kia Carnival MPV. The previous-generation Carnival became so popular among buyers that Kia continued to receive inquiries even after it was discontinued. This popularity helped the recently launched Kia Carnival gain traction. Even before its official price announcement, Kia had received over 2,000 bookings for the MPV. Actor Chunky Panday was one among them. We have already seen videos of the actor with the Carnival, and now we have a new set of images showing the actor taking delivery of the same.

The images have been shared by All About Automobiles on their Facebook page. In this post, we see Chunky Panday standing next to his brand-new Kia Carnival. He is seen being greeted by the dealership staff, having a conversation with them, and so on. There is also an image where the actor is being handed the keys to his new Kia Carnival.

Chunky Panday is seen sitting in the driver’s seat as well as the rear captain seats of the Carnival. The Kia Carnival is a luxury MPV, and we are sure Chunky Panday is going to spend most of his time in the rear seat. Many people find the Kia Carnival attractive, mainly because of its value-for-money proposition. It sits right between the Toyota Innova Hycross and the Vellfire in terms of pricing and features.

The current-generation Kia Carnival is only available in one variant – Limousine. Just like the previous generation, the current version is also a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) unit. It retains its boxy design. The Kia Carnival features a tiger-nose grille, vertically stacked LED headlamps, LED DRLs, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, all-LED tail lamps with L-shaped design elements, and a connecting LED bar. The Kia Carnival is available with Navy and Misty Gray or Tuscan and Umber color options for the interior. It appears Chunky Panday opted for the Tuscan shade.

The MPV comes with premium features such as 12.3-inch curved displays, a 4-spoke steering wheel, dual sunroofs, three-zone climate control, an 11-inch head-up display, a premium 12-speaker system from Bose, a 12-way powered driver’s seat, electrically adjustable rear seats, heated and ventilated seats, ADAS, and more.

The Kia Carnival also includes safety features such as 8 airbags, rear disc brakes, ESC, Hill Assist Control, a tire pressure monitoring system, front, rear, and side parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera.

Regarding the engine and transmission, the Kia Carnival is powered by the same 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine that generates 193 PS and 441 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The previous-generation Carnival was so popular that customers were unhappy when Kia decided to discontinue it.

The Kia Carnival is a large MPV, and compared to the previous generation, the price has increased significantly. The current-generation Kia Carnival has been launched in the market at an ex-showroom price of ₹63.90 lakh, almost double the price of the previous-generation model.

Kia is currently one of the most popular car brands in India. The South Korean car manufacturer is now planning to launch its all-new SUV. Kia has officially announced the name of the upcoming SUV: it will be called Syros and positioned between the Kia Sonet and Kia Seltos.
