Beautifully Resto-modded Premier 118 NE
The video showing this unique and lovely Premier Automobiles 118 NE has been shared on Instagram by Machine Heads on their page. In this short video, we can note a baby blue-colored Premier 118 NE, which looks like a brand-new car. The roof of this sedan has been painted in white, and it also gets a matching white vinyl on top of the front windshield.

Its main highlight, apart from the custom paint job, is its set of alloy wheels. This particular 118 NE has been given a set of beautiful 15-inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels. What makes it even more special is the custom white paint. A lot of people add custom alloy wheels to their classic cars; however, painting them white is not something a lot of people do.
1997 Premier 118 NE
As mentioned, this particular Premier Automobiles Limited (known as PAL) is from 1997. At the time, it was one of the most popular sedans in the Indian automotive market. It boasted a unique boxy appearance, and it became even more iconic because of its rectangular headlights and taillights. On the inside, it came with a simple dashboard, fabric upholstery, and an analog gauge cluster.

PAL offered the 118 NE in three variants, namely Standard, Select, and Viceroy. The Standard model was only offered with a few basic features and a petrol motor. On the other hand, the Select variant came equipped with a factory-installed air conditioning system. Lastly, the Viceroy variant was offered with a Peugeot-sourced diesel engine.
The petrol variants of the 118 NE came equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol inline four-cylinder carbureted engine, which was capable of producing 52 bhp and 79 Nm of torque. It came mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and all the power was sent to the rear wheels. As for the diesel motor, it was a 1.5-litre unit that made 50 bhp and 85 Nm of torque and also came with a four-speed manual transmission.
Resto-modding is an Art

Not many people discuss this topic, but resto-modding a vehicle is not just about throwing money at an old vintage car to make it work again like it was new. This art requires a lot of patience, taste, and skill. Not every resto-modded vehicle looks good. The owner who embarks on the journey of resto-modding an old car needs to have a clear vision of what their car should look like.
The selection of paint color, wheel design, wheel color, interior design, and upholstery should be done in such a way that it looks cool but not over the top. There are many people who go overboard with mods, which ultimately ruins the car. However, mastering these elements is the key. Also, the mechanical side of things has to be brought up to spec as well because no one wants to just look at a resto-modded car, right?
