Man And Wife Upgrade From Maruti Brezza: Buy Not One But Two Kia Sonets

Buying a car is a huge decision for many in India. It is still considered a luxury, and that is the reason why many people celebrate whenever they buy a new or a used car. We have seen people upgrade from one car to another, and some of them even go for luxury cars. Here we have a picture that is going viral on the internet lately. A husband and wife upgraded from a Maruti Brezza and bought not one but two Kia Sonet SUVs.
The image has been shared by the couple on Facebook. It was posted by Ketan Pargaonkar, who is an alternative medicine and medical astrology expert. He is also the founder of Niramay Yog Chikitsa Kendra. He is located in Pune.
He had bought a Maruti Brezza, the current-generation model, back in 2022. It is an extremely popular and one of the best-selling SUVs in this segment. He had posted an image of the same back then. Three years later, they have now posted another image on social media where the couple is standing next to their new cars.
They upgraded from the Maruti Brezza but, instead of buying a bigger car, they decided to think differently. It looks like both of them needed to drive a lot as part of their routine, so they decided to buy not one but two cars. They bought two Kia Sonet SUVs, and it looks like they opted for the higher variants with more features. The exact engine option chosen by the couple is not known.
A video of them taking delivery of their new cars is also available online. They are seen performing religious puja rituals before driving the cars. The Kia Sonet is the entry-level SUV from the Korean car manufacturer, and just like most of their products already on sale, the Sonet is also a technologically advanced and feature-loaded SUV.
It looks like the husband and wife bought the same variant. The Kia Sonet is a sub-4 meter SUV, and the higher variants of the SUV come with features like Level 1 ADAS, leatherette seats, all-LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, seat ventilation for front passengers, an electric sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, cruise control, and more.
Coming to the engine and transmission options, Kia offers the Sonet with two petrol and one diesel engine. There is a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine offered with a manual gearbox. There is also a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine available with a manual and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
As for the diesel engine, it is a 1.5-litre turbocharged unit available with both manual and automatic transmission options. Prices for the Kia Sonet SUV start at Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 15.64 lakh (ex-showroom). The husband and wife would have easily spent over Rs 20 lakh as they bought two Sonets.
