Indian cricketer and Punjab Kings' fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has made headlines by gifting his mom a brand-new Tata Curvv coupe SUV. He continues to impress fans with his performance in IPL 2025, and this thoughtful gifting has only made him win more love. Though the Curvv comes with both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and EV powertrains, the cricketer seems to have chosen the former.

The cricketer has shared a video of the family taking delivery of the new car, on YouTube. Arshdeep is seen walking into the Tata dealership with his family. The dealer staff welcomes them with flowers. The family then cuts a cake and celebrates the purchase. Towards the end of the video, we see them unveiling the Curvv and receiving it officially.

Tata Motors offers a total of six colour options on the Curvv. These include Gold Essence, Flame Red, Pristine White, Pure Grey, Daytona Grey, Opera Blue, and Nitro Crimson. The cricketer has chosen the dual-tone Pure Grey for the gifted coupe.

The video shows the joy of the family in detail. We get to see his mom's excitement and emotional reaction. The cricketer's mom and dad seem to be proud of their son. Arshdeep clearly wanted his mom to be in a safe car, while she was out on the road. The Curvv, with its striking design, and 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, could fit right in.

A Closer Look At The Curvv

Tata Motors launched the Curvv (ICE) in India in September last year. It currently has its prices in the range of 9.99 - 19.51 Lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in four broad trims and a wide range of variants.

Tata has kept the exterior styling of the petrol/diesel Curvv different from that of the Curvv.EV. The overall silhouette remains the same as that of the all-electric counterpart. Both the ICE and EV versions feature a sloping roofline, flush-type door handles, gloss black side claddings, and 18-inch alloy wheels

Talking of the differences, the ICE version gets a grille that looks like the one on the larger Harrier and Safari. The SUV also comes with a unique front bumper design with an integrated skid plate and more.

The interior design remains almost identical between the EV and ICE versions of the Curvv. The interior colourway is also different. The Curvv.EV comes finished in Black and Light Grey, while the ICE version gets Black-Burgundy.

The Curvv comes loaded with features. You get the likes of a four-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, ambient mood lighting, voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, an air purifier, electric tailgate, an electrochromic IRVM, and an illuminated and cooled glovebox.

On the safety front, Tata has equipped the coupe with everything from 6 airbags to level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

Finally, the carmaker offers three engine options on the Curvv- a 1.5-liter diesel, 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol, and a new 1.2L direct injection turbocharged petrol (Hyperion). Both manual and automatic transmissions are offered as well. The exact choice of powertrain, in this case, remains unknown for now. We might get to know more about this in the coming days.

Bottomline

Arshdeep Singh gifting the Tata Curvv to his mother shows both his success and love for family. He has immense gratitude and affection towards her, and the safety offered by the Curvv coupe should have made him gift her one...
