Cricketer Tilak Varma Gifts Dad A Mahindra XEV 9e Electric SUV
The popular Indian cricketer Tilak Varma, who plays for the Indian national cricket team and Mumbai Indians in the IPL, has bought a new Mahindra electric SUV. Varma has chosen the classy XEV 9E coupe SUV. However, he has not bought it for himself; rather, he bought it as a gift for his father. The image of him taking delivery of his father's Mahindra XEV 9E has been shared online.
Mahindra Electric SUV’s official page on Instagram has shared the image of the cricketer taking delivery of the new XEV 9E. In the image, Tilak Varma can be seen at the Mahindra dealership with his mother, father, and elder brother. The cricketer has chosen the classy shade of Stealth Black for his father's EV SUV.

The Mahindra XEV 9E is currently the flagship electric SUV from the brand, and it is popular because of its unique coupe-like sloping roofline. The XEV 9E starts with a price tag of Rs 21.90 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 31.25 lakh. As for the variant chosen by Tilak Varma, it appears that he has opted for the top-spec Pack Three variant, which comes with a 79 kWh battery pack.
Mahindra offers the XEV 9E with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs. The former offers a 542 km range, while the latter offers 656 km of range on a single full charge, as per the company. The real-world range of the 79 kWh battery pack variant is around 500 km. The lower variants make 228 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the higher variants make 282 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque.
In terms of features, the XEV 9E comes loaded with three large 12.30-inch screens on the dashboard, which Mahindra calls the “Cinemascope Cockpit.” Additionally, Mahindra provides two screens for rear-seat passengers to ensure they don’t miss out on entertainment.
Other features include the VisionX Augmented Reality HUD, MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor, 24 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage. The SUV also comes with seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and more.

He even shared a post with his Tango Red XEV 9E and joked that he paid for his SUV and it was not gifted by Mahindra. Apart from A. R. Rahman, Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap is also a proud owner of a Mahindra XEV 9E. Like Tilak Varma, he has also chosen the Stealth Black color for his SUV.
