Man Shoots Instagram Reel On Railway Track While Train Passes Over Him: Arrested [Video]

Social media has become such an integral part of our lives that we scroll through hundreds of videos and images every day. There are people who have picked up content creation as a full-time job as well. People work on different types of content with the hope that one or the other might appeal to viewers and go viral. In this bid to make viral content, people slowly started creating videos where they were seen putting their own lives and the lives of others at risk. Here, we have one such video where a man is seen lying on a railway track to record a reel while a train passes over him.
The video has been shared by Ghar Ke Kalesh on their X profile. In the video, we see an individual in a yellow T-shirt lying on the railway track with a mobile phone in his hand. He is holding the phone in such a manner that the camera is facing the train coming toward him.
The video of him lying on the track is actually captured from a different phone camera placed outside the track. After the first shot of him lying on the track, we see a train coming toward the direction where the phone was placed. The train passes over the phone, capturing a clear video that shows the underbody and wheels of the train.
After the train passes, we see the person standing up and walking away with the phone. The video was then posted online and did go viral. It was found that the person seen in the video is from Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao, and his name is Ranjit Chaurasia.
We are assuming that the reason he performed such a stunt on a railway track was for views and shares. The video did go viral, and the person has found himself in trouble with the authorities. Reports suggest that the Railway Police also came across the video and have arrested the person.
While the authorities did the right thing by arresting him, there are a few thoughts that came to our minds while watching the video.
This was the first question that came to our mind. The reason we have doubts about the video is because of the way it was recorded. In the video, we see the person lying on the track. When the train approaches the place where he is lying, we see the front of the locomotive. There does not appear to be enough gap between the engine and the track for the train to pass without hitting the person.
If he was truly lying on the track, the camera would likely have shaken a couple of times due to the pressure and vibrations from the train. However, the footage seems too stable.
Also, there is no overhead line visible in the video when the train is shown approaching. However, when the person is shown, there are several pillars and overhead lines. In short, we feel the video was nothing but a publicity stunt to gain followers and views online.
It looks like the person simply went and recorded a video of himself lying down and getting up from the track, and then stitched it with a video of a train passing over a phone placed on the track.
Never attempt such stunts for the sake of cheap publicity, as it could land you in serious trouble—just like this person from Uttar Pradesh.
