The newly launched Mahindra XEV 9E is currently one of the most powerful, affordable electric vehicles in India. This beast of an EV SUV comes equipped with an electric motor that is capable of producing 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Generally, people in India are not used to this much power, and they cannot control it. What they also can't control is their mind, due to which they do stupid acts on public roads. Recently, a video has been shared online in which a few men were seen doing donuts with a Mahindra XEV 9E on a road under a bridge.

Stupid people doing donuts with XEV 9E on the road

This video of men performing donuts with a Mahindra XEV 9E on a public road has been shared on Instagram by hr26csrlover on their page. The short clip starts off normally, with the person recording the video mentioning that he will be showing how powerful the new Mahindra XEV 9E is. Soon after this, the person sitting in the driver’s seat of this EV SUV turns the vehicle completely towards the right.

After that, he punches the accelerator, and the vehicle starts performing a burnout and then donuts. He then continues doing these donuts, and the vehicle can be seen burning up the tyre. At one point, it seemed like the XEV 9E might crash into the wall of the overbridge. However, thankfully, there was enough space, and nothing happened.

Why is this dangerous?

Many people might be questioning why this is dangerous. Well, the answer to this is that this particular stunt was done on a public road under a bridge. As mentioned, it was fortunate that there was no vehicle coming from any direction, as it could have crashed with this particular SUV doing donuts. Also, these types of stunts damage the car as well.

The life of the tyres gets reduced significantly due to excess burning on the tarmac. Also, the mechanicals of the vehicle suffer more wear and tear. Regularly doing donuts in cars can damage the suspension and also increase the strain on the electric powertrain in the case of an EV and the engine in the case of an ICE vehicle.

Why are people doing these stunts on the new Mahindra EV SUVs?

Over the last few weeks, we have seen numerous people doing similar stunts with the newly launched Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E. Both of these cars, based on Mahindra’s in-house developed INGLO electric skateboard architecture, come equipped with a 282 bhp and 380 Nm of torque-producing electric drivetrain. What makes these SUVs even more capable of doing such stunts is their rear-wheel-drive configuration.

The entire power is sent to the rear wheels. As a result, when the accelerator is pressed with full force, it can quickly turn these SUVs into tyre-burning beasts. Due to this, people are taking vehicles on test drives and doing such stunts. Unfortunately, some idiots are doing these things on public roads, which is not safe.

Apart from the stunt videos, there are many videos online in which the BE 6 and XEV 9E have been shown crashed on public roads. The main reason behind these crashes is the excess power. Most drivers in India are not skilled enough to control such powerful vehicles. So, if you are planning to buy any of these SUVs, we suggest you first get accustomed to the high power before pushing it to the limits.
