Road Rage Caught On Video: Family Threatened By A Bunch Of Goons In Maruti Swift [Video]
Indian roads can sometimes be very dramatic. You never know what they could possibly throw at you when you're out driving or riding. A recent video shared on the Youtube channel 'Prateek Singh' shows a shocking incident in which a family travelling in their car was stopped and threatened by a bunch of goons in a Maruti Swift.
The video shows the dash camera recording from the family's vehicle. It shows how the gang chased their vehicle and made a scene that left the family scared. We don't know what car the family was in. This incident happened at night. The husband was behind the wheel when the incident occurred. Soon after their car passed through a series of speed breakers, the family realised that they were being chased by a Maruti Swift ( with the registration number Dl 9 CAX 6056). It soon managed to overtake their vehicle and stopped right in front of them.
A quick check on the Swift's registration number shows it to be a VXI variant, registered under the Janakpuri/Palam RTO.
The lady (wife) is terrified by the sight and says that the goons could be drunk. Soon, a young guy gets out of the Swift and walks towards the family's vehicle. Terrified, they try to reverse their vehicle and make a flee. Seeing this, the goons ask them not to do so and to listen to them. The driver stops the vehicle to the side, and asks the gang what they were up to. What followed was really interesting...
The young chaps told the family that their vehicle had hit a scooter, and the same injured its rider. The family didn't, however, stop and this provoked the gang to chase them in the Swift. Now, the youngsters wanted the family to admit 'their fault' and do the needful for the scooter rider.
These developments surprised the family, as they were sure that their vehicle wasn't involved in such an accident. They checked the dash camera footage from their car, and the same revealed the truth about this.
A scooter rider indeed met with an accident while navigating the speed breakers. It, however, had nothing to do with the family's vehicle. The footage revealed a wet patch on the road that looked like oil or grease. This could have made the rider slip and lose control of the vehicle.
The car clearly had nothing to do with it. The cops examined the footage and agreed to this as well. In this case, it was the dash camera that kept the family out of trouble. The incident is thus another reminder that dash cameras are becoming increasingly popular (and critical) in car ownership.
The Second Incident
Another incident shared in the video shows an aggressive and arrogant motorcycle rider causing inconvenience (and trouble) on public roads. It happened on the Faridabad-Gurgaon road, and shows a motorcycle rider riding on a two-lane highway, without wearing a helmet. Additionally, he is talking on the phone while riding. He is clearly distracted and often crosses lanes.
A car is following the motorcycle, driving peacefully. The motorcycle is causing serious inconvenience and confusion. Tired, the car driver honks continuously, wanting the motorcycle to move out of his way. Despite the long honking, the rider doesn't give way or bother. Soon, he gets irritated by the horn and deliberately slows down, causing the car to shed speed as well. The motorcycle rider is furious and pulls over. He is seen walking towards the car. We don't know what happened afterwards.
Even in this case, it was the tailing car's dash camera that captured the footage that helped its driver stay out of trouble and further shed light into the shocking incident.
