Speeding Honda Dio Scooter Vs Car Taking U-Turn: Who's At Fault Here? [Video]

A lot of times in India, when someone gets into an accident, instead of stopping and helping the victim, people try to run away from the spot. However, there are still a number of responsible people in the country who, after making a mistake and causing an accident, stop to make sure that the victim is fine. Recently, one such incident was captured on a dashcam, and the video of it has been shared online.

This video of a man admitting his mistake and paying for it on the spot has been shared on YouTube by Nikhil Rana on their channel. In this short video, what happens is that a car owner was driving on a village road, which only had two lanes. The video then shows that this driver takes a left banking turn. However, after this, he realises that he came the wrong way and needs to take a U-turn.

For this, the person was seen moving his vehicle to the left lane, and there was a home on the side of the road which has a cement entrance. This driver thought that he would be able to use this spot to make a smooth U-turn on the road. Unfortunately, just when he backs up his vehicle and then tries to take a right turn, we can note that two people on a Honda Dio scooter come and crash into the front right portion of this car.

Blind turn + U-turn: Accident

As we can observe, the left turn of this road was nearly a blind corner, and the incoming scooter rider and pillion would not have noted that this car was taking a U-turn. On the other hand, it appears that the driver of the car with the dashcam was also not paying attention to the incoming traffic from behind. Due to this, the Honda Dio scooter crashed into the car.

This then caused the Honda Dio scooter rider to lose balance, and due to the momentum, both the rider and the pillion fell on the side of the road. Soon after they fell, the rider immediately stood up and started walking towards the car in an extremely angry state. He also checked on the other person who fell from the scooter. It appears that the person sitting in the rear suffered slightly more injuries than the rider.

What happened next?

Now, thankfully, both of these men were not seriously injured. This is especially very important, as neither of the two men were wearing helmets for their safety. As per the video, the owner of the car who made the abrupt U-turn just after taking the left turn immediately paid for his mistake. He reportedly took both rider and pillion to the hospital, and he paid Rs 20,000 to cover all their medical needs.

Taking responsibility

As mentioned, a number of people in India try to avoid taking responsibility for the actions they do, which may have caused damage to the other party. However, sometimes there are people who accept their mistake and try to amend the situation. In this case, the driver took the men to the hospital and also paid Rs 20,000 for their treatment.
