Bengaluru Maruti Suzuki Dealership Calls Brezza 'The Brahmos' Of SUVs: Do They Have A Point?

India recently gave a befitting reply to Pakistan with “Operation Sindoor,” where terrorist camps of Lashkar-e-Taiba and other terrorist organisations were destroyed by the Indian Air Force. In addition to these, a number of Pakistan’s military bases were also destroyed using “BrahMos,” the long-range ramjet supersonic cruise missile. Now, comparing the Maruti Suzuki Brezza with the India-made BrahMos, a Maruti Suzuki dealership from Bengaluru has shared a post.
In this image, RNS Motors, one of the most popular Maruti Suzuki dealerships from Bengaluru, Karnataka, has compared the Maruti Suzuki Arena’s most popular sub-compact SUV, the Brezza, with the BrahMos long-range missile. We can note that the BrahMos missile was placed on top of the Brezza. Meanwhile, the direct rivals of this SUV were surrounded by old artillery.
We can also note that the dealership has changed the names of the rivals by using different spellings. For example, the Tata Nexon is named Nixon, Hyundai Venue has been named Vanui, Mahindra XUV 3XO has been spelled IIIXO, and lastly, the Skoda Kushaq has been changed to Skylaq. The same advertisement also mentions in bold letters, “Brezza - The BrahMos of compact SUVs.”
As per the post, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has been compared to being the BrahMos of compact SUVs because of three reasons. The first is its powerplant, which has been metaphorically compared to the thrust of the BrahMos. For those who may not be aware, the Brezza comes equipped with a 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol motor. It makes 101 bhp and 136 Nm of torque.
Now, although this powerplant is not the most powerful engine in terms of output in its segment, it has to be mentioned that the Brezza, due to its naturally aspirated setup, launches from a standstill very quickly. Over the years, this SUV has been pinned against a lot of other sub-compact SUVs in the market for drag races, and it has managed to beat a lot of them.
According to the post, the next reason for the Brezza being termed as the BrahMos is because of its fuel efficiency. It is metaphorically being termed as the precision targeting of the BrahMos. The Brezza provides a mileage of 19.80 kmpl, which, in terms of the rivals that offer petrol engines, is the highest in the segment.
Lastly, as we all know, the BrahMos’ main highlight is being the protector of our nation. In a similar way, the Brezza is offered with 6 airbags as standard, making it a very safe vehicle that will protect its occupants. The Brezza also comes with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill hold assist, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. It also gets a 360-degree camera, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and brake assist, and a seatbelt warning system.
Currently, the Brezza starts with a price tag of Rs 8.69 lakh for the base LXI variant. From there, it goes up to Rs 14.14 lakh for the ZXI Plus AT dual-tone variant. The company also offers the Brezza with a CNG option, which starts at Rs 9.64 lakh.
