MS Dhoni Autographs Brand New Thar ROXX Of MLA: Anand Mahindra Is Pleased!
The Thar ROXX has been a solid hit for Mahindra. The SUV is currently in huge demand and drives good monthly volumes. People belonging to different strata of society have already become fans of the vehicle- from corporate employees to politicians and celebrities- have all added this to their respective garages. Recently, an MLA went viral on social media for getting his new Mahindra Thar Roxx autographed by the legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Kunal Sarangi, former MLA from Jharkhand has shared pictures of his brand new Mahindra Thar ROXX getting autographed by Dhoni on social media, and the same are garnering attention now. The images show MS Dhoni and the MLA standing near the new ROXX, and further, the cricketer putting his signature on the space behind the rear armrest. The Ivory cabin colourway ensures that it is properly visible. The post has gone viral on X and even Anand Mahindra seems to love it.
The former MLA’s Thar ROXX wears the Battleship Grey paint. It seems to be a higher variant as the panoramic sunroof can be seen in the pictures. The Thar ROXX has a total of 7 exterior colourways on offer-Battleship Grey, Tango Red, Nebula Blue, Stealth Black, Everest White, Deep Forest, and Burnt Sienna. Of these, the Battleship Grey has a distinct character to it.
At launch, the Mahindra Thar ROXX had just a single cabin colour on offer- the Ivory. However, many journalists and influencers urged for a darker cabin to the vehicle, considering the fact that it is an off-roader as well. Taking the same into consideration, Mahindra soon announced a Mocha Brown interior colourway on the top-spec 4×4 variants. The Thar Roxx owned by the MLA here is either a first batch unit or a 4×2 as the interior here is White.

The Mahindra Thar ROXX is available in two engine options- 2.0L turbocharged petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engine. The diesel engine produces 150 bhp and 350 Nm in the lower variants and 175 bhp and 380 Nm in the higher ones, with the larger turbocharger. Both the engines offer the choice of a 6-speed manual and a torque converter automatic transmission.
The turbo-petrol engine comes in two states of tune. The lower makes 160 bhp and 330 Nm, while the higher spec produces 175 bhp and 380 Nm. The Thar ROXX comes underpinned by the manufacturer’s new-age M_GLYDE platform. This architecture offers a good balance between ride quality and dynamics. Both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) versions are available.
The suspension setup is derived from that of the Mahindra Scorpio-N and uses Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers and a penta-link setup at the rear. The front differential is electronic brake-locking while the rear is a mechanically locking unit.
The 4WD variants also come with Intelli Turn feature hill descent control, off-road crawl control, and a lot of other tech. The safety equipment on the new ROXX includes ABS, EBD, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The ADAS suite comprises of features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.
The ROXX is a major step up in terms of cabin comfort and livability. It gets a large and roomy cabin packed with tech and features. It comes with things like ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable driver seat, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch driver’s display, Harman Kardon audio, a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, and more.
