Hunting wild animals in India is a criminal offence, and poachers who get involved in such activities are punished very strictly by the law. Recently, a video has gone viral on the internet in which six men in an old Mahindra Jeep were seen trying to get away from multiple vehicles that were chasing them in Rajasthan. It was reported that these poachers had weapons with them, and they even fired at the police authorities during the chase.

This video, showing the start of the chase, has been shared on X by Oxomiya Jiyori on their page. The short clip starts off with a police officer standing in front of a JCB earthmover parked at a turn. The rear bucket boom of this JCB was set up in a way to make sure that the poachers in the Jeep stopped. However, the driver of the Jeep in the clip can be seen driving underneath the barrier.

We can also note that the police officer who was standing on the road to stop them quickly moved away in order to save himself. As for the Jeep itself, we can note that the front left side of the windshield hit the JCB earthmover’s rear arm, and as a result of this, the entire roof was damaged and came off.

The video shows that the remaining portion of the roof was dragging on the road while being attached to the rear of the vehicle. As for the occupants inside the vehicle, they all ducked down their heads while going under the JCB arm. Soon after they escaped from this part, we can note that there were a few men who started running behind this Jeep on the road to catch the offenders.

Apart from this video, a longer video showing the long and intense chase of these poachers by the police authorities has been shared as well. In this clip, what happens is that a police officer who was in a white-colored Toyota Fortuner SUV was shouting at these poachers and asking them to stop the vehicle and surrender themselves.

However, despite the requests, these poachers did not stop the vehicle and were still trying to run away. The Jeep was being driven at high speed despite it being on an open field with a lot of holes. Soon after this, we can note that a Mahindra Bolero pickup and a Bolero SUV belonging to the authorities were also chasing this particular Jeep.

At one point, the Fortuner stopped during the chase, and the police officer came out of it thinking that they had stopped the Jeep with joint effort. However, the poachers still managed to escape. So the officer again sat in the vehicle, and the chase started once again.

In the video, we can note that these men were beaten with sticks, and we can even hear these men crying and asking the officers to stop.
