Drunk Driver Drives Hyundai Creta Onto Railway Track!

Drunk driving is one of the most severe offenses, and people regularly do it. Each and every day, thousands of people in India get caught for driving after being highly intoxicated. Recently, another video of a drunk driver has been shared online. The shocking part about this particular video is that the drunk driver drove his Hyundai Creta SUV onto a railway track after speeding off a railway crossing. As a result of this stupid behavior, a train had to be delayed by 30 minutes.
The video showing a drunk driver and his friends sitting inside a Hyundai Creta after driving on the railway track has been shared on YouTube. It comes courtesy of Nikhil Rana on his channel. In this short video, we can note that a railway employee was walking towards a grey Hyundai Creta, which was stopped in the middle of a railway track.
He can be heard stating that if the railway crossing had been closed, this idiot drunk driver would have crashed into it and then driven onto the railway track. Following this, the person recording the video stands next to the Creta and asks the driver what he was trying to do. In reply, the drunk driver stated that he was driving at high speed and could not notice where he was going.
The cameraman highlights that this particular driver and all of his friends sitting inside the vehicle are drunk. He then mentions to the driver that he is not driving on the side of a road. Rather, his vehicle is in the middle of the railway track. Following this, other people arrive near the car and ask everyone to vacate the vehicle.
As per the video, this incident took place at the Bhanpur Railway Crossing in Gajraula, Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. It has also been reported that due to this stupid drunk driver, the train that was coming had to apply the brakes. It was then stopped at the same place for 30 minutes while the railway employees removed this particular Hyundai Creta from the tracks.
At the moment, there are no reports mentioning whether this drunk driver has been arrested or not. However, most likely, he will be arrested for drunk driving, which is an extremely serious offense. Under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, a fine of up to Rs 10,000 will be levied on the driver. Also, he can be imprisoned for up to six months, and there could be a license suspension as well.
As unfortunate as it may be, this is not the first time that we have seen a drunk driver taking his vehicle onto a railway track. Just a little while ago, a video went viral on the internet in which a drunk Mahindra Thar driver from Jaipur, Rajasthan, drove his SUV for “off-roading” on a railway track.
This particular man then got scared after noticing an incoming goods train. As a result, he immediately reversed his vehicle and fled the scene. Thankfully, the loco pilot managed to note this stupid person on the track and had already applied the brakes in order to avoid any accident.
