What happened?

The video has been circulating on various social media platforms. The rider, who has been identified as Hardik Sharma, was on his Sunday morning breakfast ride with his friends on the Dwarka Expressway.

They were riding from Ambience Mall in Gurugram towards Manesar when they spotted a black-coloured Mahindra Scorpio N SUV following them. The SUV was being driven in a dangerous manner, and the driver of the car was repeatedly trying to hit them.

The SUV driver was trying to push them off the road and was provoking the riders to react. When the rider realised that the SUV drivers were doing this intentionally, they slowed down under the Dwarka Expressway flyover. Once they stopped, the Scorpio N driver also stopped, and the men jumped out of the car and started attacking them.

The men were drunk and began abusing and attacking the biker. They hit him and the bike with steel rods. Thankfully, he was wearing a helmet, which saved him from major injuries when they hit him on the head.

In the video, we can hear the rider requesting the drunk men from the Scorpio to leave him and not harm him. One of the occupants from the SUV, wearing a red T-shirt, was actually trying to remove the helmet so that he could destroy it or harm the rider even more.

The rider was on his Kawasaki ZX-4R sports bike. The drunk men damaged the bike and broke the side panel. The rider somehow managed to escape from the spot, and just as he moved ahead, he noticed that the same men were attacking another rider who was on a Kawasaki Z900 bike.

They hit the biker and the bike with steel rods and baseball bats that they had in the car. The headlamps and side panels were all damaged on this bike as well. In fact they even tried to engage with people who tried to stop them.

Once the locals started gathering around the spot, the men fled in their Scorpio N, which had the registration number DL4CBE1750. The whole incident was captured on the GoPro and helmet cameras that the riders were wearing.

Hardik Sharma is a software developer who resides in Sector 46, Gurugram. After the incident, the rider, along with his friends, filed a complaint against the drunk men who damaged their bikes.

An FIR has been filed against four unidentified accused under Sections 3 (criminal conspiracy or common intention), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 281 (rash or negligent driving), 126 (wrongful restraint), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 324 (mischief) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The biker who was attacked also informed that he had tracked the attackers on social media using paid Artificial Intelligence tools, while the police are still trying to trace them. The complainant stated that they have shared the details with the police, yet no arrests have been made. We really hope Gurugram Police takes strict action against the culprits, as it would send a wrong message to society otherwise.
