We recently came across a video online where a bunch of drunk men in a Mahindra Scorpio N were seen assaulting bikers near Dwarka Expressway last week. The video had gone viral, and netizens and biker communities had come together and asked authorities to take action. The accused did get arrested, but now Hardik Sharma has come forward and told The Indian Express that after the incident, his parents have asked him to leave Gurugram and also to quit biking.

Speaking to the media, Sharma said, “Anywhere but here (Gurugram)… my parents will not let me live in this city. It is already decided (for me). Once and for all, no bikes, too, they (parents) said. I have begun packing, I will be moving right away.”

The biker has currently said that he has plans to move back to his hometown, Hisar, and the medical tests also revealed that he is badly injured. The doctor told Hardik that apart from injuries to the bone, even the bone marrow is damaged.

The accused were traced by Hardik just hours after the incident on social media. He even shared their profiles with the cops. However, it took them around 60 hours to arrest the accused. We all saw a video of the four men who assaulted the bikers getting arrested by the police, and they even released a video where the culprits were seen apologising for the mistake.

However, the biker has a different opinion about this. He mentioned that he is not satisfied with the police action, who allegedly took around 12 hours to register his complaint. The rider had also shared a video earlier this week where one of the accused was seen partying with others.

He said, “That was on the police. Because if you look at the guys and see what they did, they are goondas (thugs)… partying, bragging, and putting up (social media) stories… nothing makes any difference to them.”

The biker had also told the media that the accused had brought around 35 men to the court to intimidate him. The next date of hearing on the bail pleas is in August.

What was the incident?

The incident took place on Sunday last week. Hardik, along with a bunch of riders, was on a Sunday morning breakfast ride. They were riding from Gurugram’s Ambience Mall towards Manesar. They noticed that a black-coloured Mahindra Scorpio N SUV with registration number ‘DL4CBE1750’ was following them.

The SUV was being driven in a dangerous manner, and the driver was repeatedly trying to hit them. The driver of the SUV was intentionally trying to push the bikers off the road. The bikers realised this and decided to slow down under the Dwarka Expressway flyover. Once they stopped, the Scorpio N driver also stopped, and the men jumped out of the car and started attacking them.

The attackers, who have been identified as Bhanu Sharma, Deepak Singh, Pragya Sharma, and Rajat Singh, got out of the car and started hitting the bikers and damaging the bikes with baseball bats and metal rods.

Thankfully, one of the bikers was wearing a helmet, which saved him from major injuries when they hit him on the head.

The culprits damaged the rider’s Kawasaki ZX-4R sports bike and another rider’s Z900 bike. The culprits fled the spot once they realised that locals had started gathering around them.
